As part of the 15th edition of the Week of Care, on March 11, 2026, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited De Kering, the youth care department of the non-profit organization Ter Loke in Malle. Ter Loke is a welfare-oriented organization active in specialized youth care, family care, and support for people with disabilities. The Week of Care is an initiative of the non-profit organization Dag van de Zorg.
During the visit to De Kering—the center for residential and mobile youth care for children and young people aged 3 to 25—the Queen took part in several activities with the young residents, spoke with young people and families about their life paths, and exchanged views with field workers about their practical commitment within the youth care sector.
Another wonderful cape on Mathilde. I wish she would have used the convenient slits or armholes to showcase the sleeves of the gorgeous electric blue blouse.
ردحذفI love this cape too, especially worn over super-long flared pants just off the ground, and with Mathilde's hair swooping gently over her shoulders. It's a look I would like to wear myself.
حذفHowevr I do think this electric blue is a bit intense and overpowering for the gentle colouring of a blue-eyed blonde. In my opinion it would look more harmonious on someone with brown eyes and dark hair -- like Victoria or Rania i.e. someone with stronger colouring. I prefer to see Mathilde in tones like the turquoise/aqua which we saw her wear just recently. Lyra

ردحذفCape again, a somewhat disfiguring piece of clothing. Hides everything else without giving something attractiveness in exchange. Well yes, I dislike capes really fiercely :-). Also not a fan of the blouse, too closed up and at the same time lacking identifiable contours. Maybe everything is better if she stands, those long legs on display can compensate a lot.
ردحذفYes I saw it too. The lady and the little girl looked very surprised that Queen Mathilde was able to peel potatoes. Queen Mathilde didn't lived the life of a privilege royal when she was a young girl. Her parents have lived difficult times. She went to Africa with organisations like the Red Cross. She went to guide and help sick and handicapped people who traveled to Lourdes (Fr) or other places were they went to pray and ask God for help to make them healthy again.
ردحذفAnother rainy and cold day in Belgium today and Queen Mathilde wore one of her cape coats to keep warm outside. The dark blue cape matches very well the electric blue trousers and blouse. On the table I see a dark blue clutch in "daim" leather.
Sorry not "daim" leather but suede.

حذفThis outfit looks wonderful. Love this style of cape, great length, not too much fabric, blends well with the color of her outfit. Not sure if the cape is dark grey in color? The blue blouse I love, this looks beautiful, color and pattern, the pants are perfect fitting well. Her looks to be suede blue shoes look splendid.
