On Saturday, March 7, 2026, Queen Mary of Denmark attended the Danish Warmblood stallion licensing to watch some of the world’s best dressage riders. The event is currently taking place at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning. Queen Mary attended the events in Herning for the second consecutive day, having also been at Boxen on Friday with her friends.
Princess Benedikte of Denmark was also scheduled to attend the event, but she cancelled her participation. The Danish Warmblood, or Dansk Varmblod, is a Danish breed of modern sport horse established in the mid-twentieth century and used mainly for dressage and show jumping. The event is one of the largest equestrian events in Northern Europe.

Fun to see a royal on off-duty days! I prefer the darker denim outfit because I think it’s better with her coloring, and I also don’t love the boxy cut of the Max Mara jacket, but both outfits are nice.

ReplyDeleteOn the first pic, three ladies wearing blergh. On the second, two of them. On the third, only one. So maybe I can interpret it as a symbolic message saying: "there is future with no blergh at all" ? I don't like Mary's jacket quite independently from the colour, I don't like Mary's jacket anyway, for me, big flapped pockets over female breasts are a nogo. Bomber jackets basically too, but bomber style with flapped breast pockets is even worse.
ReplyDeleteMy oversized denim vintage bomber jacket with big flapped pockets is flattering and I get so many compliments when I wear it, but I agree that the Max Mara jacket is too boxy.

As for me, I see ladies caught by a photographer in their leisure time who weren’t expecting photos of themselves who graciously smiled and are both looking pretty fancy with nice shoes, cute outfits and a happy air of enjoyment.

As we are not talking about your outfits or appearance, I don't quite get why you expect anything "uplifting" from other commenters. I am not disappointed about you finding these outfits "cute", so I see no point in you being judgemental just because I don't share your opinion and don't "uplift" you. Hope you have better resources for uplifting.

Mary looks great. But I mostly love ther handbag, it's her Ralph Lauren Soft Ricky bag. She has had this one for so many years now, and mostly for off-duty events events or while travelling. This must be a really good bag...
