On March 12, 2026, Queen Letizia presided over the closing ceremony of the third edition of the Master’s Degree in International Reporting, organized by the RTVE Institute and the University of Alcalá, in Alcalá. The master’s program trains journalists capable of reporting on the world from the field. The program offers academic training and professional internships that prepare students to cover major global events with rigor and responsibility.
Another dull and boring outfit for Letizia. All of the students dressed up and put more effort into their appearance than the Queen. She could barely manage to even smile in the pictures. Maybe she was reflecting on her days as a reporter and her former life. Maybe she misses it. Sad!

It is very well that the students are more dressed up - it is their occasion, Letizia should not overdress them. حذفA Letizia problem? I have just noticed she seems a bit down lately. And this is reflected in her clothes. I think the way a woman dresses and presents herself is a reflection of her inner well being. She has changed drastically over the last couple of years. It's just something I have noticed and other people have noticed this change too. Sorry if I came across as rude. That was not my intention.

حذفI find Letizia dresses very smartly - but also in a way that normal people can relate to. She has modified more elegant and expensive dress from several years ago to this more relatable style which I find quite strategic. However she is in every single appearance perfectly groomed, compassionate, prepared and elegant. There is nothing boring about this or her! As for smiles, in most of these she is smiling - and it’s normal in photos which represent a microsecond not to represent who we fully are across a event … especially when we are public speaking which requires focus.

ردحذفQueen Letizia's suit is probably in a lighter fabric because the climate in Spain is not so cold as in The Netherlands this time of the year. Queen Maxima's suit was in a winter quality and she wore a waist coat under her jacket, to create extra warmth. Queen Maxima could have wore one of her lighter suits too, but then she had to wear a cape on top of it because of the cold and she would receive comments on the cape she wore. One cannot do well for everybody. My father always said one must always dress according the kind of weather which is not easy in the Benelux. One day you have a t° of almost 20° C and the day after you have t° around 10 ° - 12 ° Celsius. Always have 2 outfits ready one for warm and sunny weather and one for cold and/or rainy weather.
حذفQueen Letizia is dressed according the circumstances. The students are dressed in classic colors themselves and so is the queen. In Spain they prefer her in a simple business style.

The light grey may not be a colour we are used to seeing much on Letizia; but I think it gives her a softer, quieter, more minimalist air which she carries well, just as Charlene wears her soft neutrals well too. I do think the grey tones beautifully with the cooler, darker hair colour that Letizia favours now; and I especially like the grey highlight streak which she has on one side. Lyra
ردحذفDear 16:01, Not all quarters in Spain want the queen to be simply dressed (business style), that I know from good political sources, and her relatable look, often overdone, is inadequate, she represents the Crown and not herself, remember that the monarchy in Spain is not in the strongest position.
