I hope that visit moves Stephanie to find more money to support this most wonderful organisation.

Médecins sans frontières is an international organization to whom everybody can give money. I did before and a lot of people did the same. I am sure their banking account can be found on the internet. The last years I didn't receive an invitation anymore to donate money at this organization. You know during the last 10 years people in my country received a lot of invitations to pay for several national, European and international organizations among which we had to make a choice to whom we would continue to give a sum every year. Giving to all of them became impossible. My pension I receive as a retired person of almost 80 years old is not high enough to give to everyone.

  3. A mon humble avis, ce manteau large à martingale n’avantage pas Stéphanie !

I agree, though it is a very beautiful coat in great colour. What is it that it ages her?

    2. The coat has a wonderful color, the design is classic IMV, in spite of the wide collar and martingale; they are not disturbing at all. I see it as a good choice. It fits her surely better than a tight design.

@10:40, she looks her age, just simply not her best. Great difference. For static photos like this it is better to wear the coat correctly - either close it or remove it. Same for handbag. Same for hair - a simple ponytail is better than a look as if her hairdo came apart during the visit.

I agree. The first thing I noticed was the very wide lapels and collar and not the woman wearing the coat. The fit is much better than most of her outfits, especially the pants and shirt combinations. Color is lovely. I recall several years ago when her mother-in-law must have gotten a stylist who put her into more youthful outfits. That was a marvelous step which must have given her courage to cut 20 years from her look: new hairdo, new makeup and new styles for her. She blossomed.

Il ne faut pas confondre martingale et ceinture ! Ici c'est une ceinture.

I agree that it is the bulky details and trim on this gorgeous coat (lapels, pockets, tie belt, cuff straps, the overlapping front panel) which look a bit cumbersome on Stephanie, as it is adding too much visual bulk and thickness - particularly in this heavy fabric. (whereas a thinner fabric would drape nicely). But for this weight of fabric, Stephanie would look freer in a very simple, classic design with clever tailoring. No belt. Lyra

I appreciate that Stephanie always seems like a normal person despite her aristocratic background. I hope she can help them.

Beautiful coat in a beautiful colour. To me it looks like the coat is a bit too wide (look at the width of the shoulders). The coat has a belt not a "martingale" like some of the commenters are pretending. On photos N° 1, 4, 5 the ends of the belt are visible clearly. She could have knotted it, but as she preferred not to, the coat looks really to wide for her. Her hair is not styled like it should be (photo n° 4).

  9. This coat is a glorious color, I love this shade of blue. The coat is beautifully crafted and well designed. I do love the large lapels and larger collar. Another look at this coat in a clearer photo would be a better judge of the fit of this coat. This was a wonderful visit by the GD. advantageous showing her support.
