On February 26, 2026, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited World Central Kitchen in Amman, a longtime partner of their charitable organization, Archewell Philanthropies. World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that provides food relief and continues to deliver humanitarian assistance in Gaza.

They then joined a delegation from the World Health Organization for a visit to the National Center for Rehabilitation of Addicts (NCRA). The facility operates as a short-term residential and outpatient treatment centre, providing medical withdrawal services, psychological support and social counselling, and falls under Ministry of Health of Jordan through the National Centre for Mental Health.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex undertook their visit to Jordan in partnership with the WHO to support frontline partners, including World Central Kitchen and QuestScope. Jordan continues to carry an extraordinary humanitarian responsibility—supporting refugees and displaced communities from across the region while strengthening care for its own people.

The day concluded at the King Hussein Cancer Center, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met Princess Ghida of Jordan, alongside hospital leadership, clinicians, and young patients receiving specialist cancer care. They heard about the pressures facing regional cancer services as displacement and conflict strain health systems, as well as about efforts supported by the WHO to strengthen access to treatment for children and families travelling for care.

Meghan’s black trousers and top fit well and are elegant. I like the wide coat—a retro design that was in vogue in the 1950s. This is clearly a serious visit. Everyone around them is focused with serious expressions, including Meghan and Harry. Glad they are bringing attention to this cause.

  2. I noticed the "serious" expressions too and thought the Sussex's don't look like happy campers here. They didn't smile once. They should be happy they are helping people.

Based on the hosts serious and focused expressions, smiling and giggling from Meghan and Harry would be inappropriate. They are behaving with respect and taking cues from the subject matter and their hosts.

Hard to say if the expressions are not understanding what’s going on, realising they’re visiting a charity with Hamas connections, bored or serious.

I like the coat with the simple black shirt and pants. World Central Kitchen is doing great work. The World Health Organization is bringing attention to rehabilitation for those with addiction. Good work.

  8. I like the black ensemble, pants and top. The coat however I dislike, I don't find this attractive. Her black flats look good. The lady wearing the grey blazer, I like this blazer. Nice design, great length, her pants look splendid, slimline and length is spot on, especially with the joggers!

They really don’t. They are very self serving and walked away from the vehicle they were granted for honourable public service. Shame because harry is very good at this.

Oh but really? She breaks families and they broke away from the roles they had that would have enabled service. Since that moment they are wannabes who fundraise little, and give away less, with no formal roles and a lot of self promotion.

Thank goodness for someone with common sense. All those stating they should have stayed perhaps forget the vicious and venomous attacks on Meghan which continue today. As she said, the royals were prepared to lie to protect Andrew, but would not tell the truth to support her. I am so glad they have found a meaningful humanitarian role for themselves. WHO would not have invited them unless they felt it would bring the subject back up the news feed at a time when there is so much else going on in the world. LRB

I agree with you LRB. If they had stay in the RF, they would have been divorced since a long time, because that is what some royals wanted. Lucky they went away in time. They created a beautiful family with 2 people who love each other and 2 lovely children. The love between them cannot be taken away. The royals preferred to protect Andrew. Now the whole world knows what kind of vicious criminal he was (is).

@ LRB - read the comments. No one said it wouldn't help, but help what? People noted that they do little that does not benefit them. This visit has been used to make them seem relevant again. Why WHO invited them is not clear. The Jordanian RF did not meet them, and they 're (RF) heavily involved in many and varied humanitarian issues in their country.

Wrong the RF did meet them - they met with two of the Jordanian Princesses. This is not about making them ‘seem relevant again’ - they are relevant , whether you despise them ( as so many on here clearly do) or not. WHO would not have invited them unless they felt there was a wider benefit - and for you to assume you know more than WHO is naive at best. LRB. - not anonymous as you choose to be.

I wish to thank LRB for all the good words he(she) spread. I am not British but when I read all the hate which is still among many habitants of the U.K. when it concerns Harry and Meghan, I am glad I am not British. If Harry and Meghan have the possibility to do humanitarian work even if it just concerns children I must admire them. And to those who have critics on the fact that they earn some money by doing this, so what ? People who are working for humanitarian organisations like the WHO, Red Cross, Médecins sans Frontières, Caritas Catolica, etc...they all earn a salary. If they don't receive money for the work they do it won't last long. Nobody in the world is working for free. Everybody must eat and feed their children.

Using LRB is the same as using anonymous - all are anonymous on this site unless you have a means of identifying someone. Using a pseudonym does not make you superior although that is the impression given.
@16.19 - H&M are disliked by many for many reasons, one being a visit such as this, if they were Mr & Mrs Windsor would they have been asked? Using their titles is the only leverage they have, and what has their presence really achieved. The work being done in Jordan is known.

What LRB does is identify my comments across all royals who I comment on - rather than Anonymous 12.52 or whatever . You do not have to be royal to be invited on such visits but Harry IS royal whether you like it or not. He is the son of the reigning monarch of the UK. Do you make similar comments when the York sisters do charity work? No. Just the Sussex’s. LRB

@ 09:28 - they briefly met (shook hands) with Princess Basma Bint Talal the King's aunt during a visit to a venture run by the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development, in which she is involved. King Abdullah did meet Dr.Tetros and WHO delegates- H&M were not invited.A Palestinian diplomat, reported that he saw H&M as using sick Gazan children as 'props for celebrities'. So he obviously did not see their wider benefit.

This outfit in black works much better than the one the duchess wore previously. The black belt also doesn't chop of her body, and this gives the illusion of not having a short torso. A 10 out of 10 outfit from me. I'm not a fan of her jacket worn buttoned up, but think it works unbuttoned.

I did some research : Tedros Ghebreyesus is on every photo here. He is the Director General of WHO. His background :
Ethiopian public health expert, malaria researcher and diplomat. He is the first African to lead the WHO.
If a very valuable and busy man like him is on every photo with H. & M. one may think he appreciates their interest and concern and offer to help where they can.
Dr. Ghebreyesus is well acquainted with Queen Mathilde and perhaps also with Queen Maxima. He knows Queen Mathilde from her work for the U.N. He has been invited more than once at the Castle of Laeken.
