Lovely family photos of Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, their daughter Aiko, and his parents, what a sweet older couple.

where did all the comments disappear that were here earlier, about 4-5 hours ago? Come on Helen, it is the start of 2026, stop censorship, when this blog is about sharing ideas, whether they are good or bad. It is each person's perspective !

It’s not censorship - it’s her blog and if she feels people are being rude and will for instance offence others who read here, then she has the right and privilege to cull those comments. Remember this is not a public news site but a private blog which has an owner/s who allows individuals to add comments but asks them to write respectfully. When they don’t, their comment quite rightly can be removed. If you would like a blog with uncensored comments, you could do that! Meanwhile, I’m very very happy to have bloggers who are checking that we are kind and on this particular post, not offending the respectful Japanese readers who also comment here.

Disagree 14:35. This is not an open forum but an individual’s blog. Some people’s perspectives are really mean and I’m ever so glad their comments are removed.

Paloma.

A charming classy family. I especially like how grandma dresses and her fabulous pearl necklace.

Lovely, gentile family. But I gotta say, Grandma and Grandpa are still my favorites. Their loving expressions in so many photos over the years -- you can't make that up!!
