The exhibition marks 80 years since the end of World War II and features photographs by Kōyō Ishikawa, a Japanese photographer and an official of the Metropolitan Police Department.

Ishikawa was the only person to document the damage caused by the U.S. bombing of Tokyo during the war. The Imperial Family also met with members of the younger generation who serve as storytellers, sharing memories and reflections on the wartime experience.

  1. The last photo, is a picture within a picture, notice the leaning of each family member, very interesting.
