On December 18, 2025, Queen Mathilde visited the exhibition “Stephan Vanfleteren: Transcripts of a Sea” at the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent. The exhibition collects previously unseen photographs by the internationally renowned photographer Stephan Vanfleteren, alongside works by other artists with a passion for the sea, such as Thierry De Cordier, James Ensor, and Rinus Van de Velde. The exhibition will run until January 4, 2026.
Dries Van Noten Suit
I am not that fashion savvy, but I knew it was a Dries because of looking at this blog on a regular basis. Learning style and personal preferences. I like that this queen is always well dressed and groomed. Not necessarily in something my eye would be drawn to but nice to see elegance.

ردحذفLove the new pant suit by Dries Van Noten. The grey-blue print on the burgundy background is beautiful. The burgundy top and the modern parure of dark earrings and necklace is matching the suit. I think she is wearing the new burgundy leather clutch by Voort Studio. I'll have to look for more details (if there are) on the websites concerning Queen Mathilde's garments.
ردحذفWell said. I think she looks amazing. I too love this pantsuit. The colors, Yes! color combination, is really quite stunning. I have never seen these colors combined before.
حذفI am back already. All I found is the oversized earrings and the statement necklace are from the collection of Giorgio Armani 2020.
ردحذفI also noticed that the print in the fabric of the suit is changing from blue into grey and sometimes into dark green depending on how the light is shining on the suit.

ردحذفSad to say, but the Queen looks washed out - maybe she is tired. Perhaps some definitive highlights would help, also more attention to make up - eyes made up and some bronze blush. Not a fan of that fabric of suit.
ردحذفVery flattering suit for Mathilde. I wonder how she would look if she didn’t have her hair styled to look more voluminous. I think a simple brush and pulled into a sleek short ponytail (without hair spray or other products) would be very flattering.

حذفHer hair was done like you propose when she gave birth to her children and was photographed in the maternity. Queen Mathilde has a lot of natural hair she doesn't have to make it look more voluminous. She has always someone at her service or her hair stylist or someone of the people who are working closely together with her. Before she wore her hair shorter and she had a lot of critics that her hair was too short and that she should let it grow to have a more natural hairstyle. In the meantime her hair has grown and when she is filmed during her spare time or on vacation one can see her hair is not styled by a hairdresser but has natural curls which she controls by using her sunglasses as a diademe. What do you know about the products she uses ? Are you in her bathroom in the morning ? Beside nobody can have healthy hair without using any product adapted to her hair quality. She is the queen and she has the right like any other lady who is meeting people and who is taking care of how she looks when doing her work. She knows her hair and she knows what is the best for her since the time she was a princess and became a queen. People who think she is using much hairspray don't know anything about modern hairstyles. Did you think Queen Mathilde uses cheap hair products which one can find in the supermarket ?. I don't think so. Today one can buy the best hair products online, the same the hairstylists use and which are not available in the super market. I am buying my products online too and I can assure you there are much better for my hair than those I used before.
Beautiful pantsuit, she looks wonderful. Lovely, fit and colors suit her well. The design of this pantsuit I love. She looks beautiful.

ردحذفBen jij dezelfde persoon die ook altijd opmerkingen maakt aan het adres van koningin Maxima ? Heeft zij ook een oma kapsel ? Ik zou jouw kapsel en kleding wel willen zien. Theoretisch zouden zowel koningin Mathilde als koningin Maxima echt oma kunnen zijn, gezien de leeftijd van hun oudste dochters. Trouwens niets is lelijker dan een vijftiger die zich probeert te kleden als een teenager of een twintiger.

ردحذفShe looks pale, washed out, the suit wears her, the huge earrings detract from the overall lovely pantsuit. I've noticed she wears large, tacky looking earrings a great deal. They look cheap, don't work with most of the outfits, and have to wonder why she wears them.

حذفOther on this blog don't find Queen Mathilde enough modern/up-to-date. Her earrings are up-to-date and modern. They may be not to your taste but are certainly to the taste of someone else. So what ? The suit is not wearing her. She has the length to wear this kind of suits.
It is true she looks paler than usual lately, maybe she is tired. I noticed she had less visits in December than usual. There can be many reasons why she has to use less make-up temporarely. If she uses darker make-up and a lot of blush and eye make-up she receives critics too.
She should do exactly what she has to do and what she thinks is best for her. And you or nobody else has to give her orders what she should wear or how she should do her hair. Lucky she is not a queen who wairs her hair pulled back in her neck like any house wife who is going to start the cleaning and doing the rest of the house keeping.
