During her visit, Queen Mary is expected to tour conservation and development projects for endangered species along the coast, as well as landfill sites leading waste-management efforts, circular-economy initiatives, and urban environmental-resilience programs in Nairobi, before participating in the ongoing UNEA-7 meeting at the United Nations Office in Nairobi.

  1. Looks like a comfy outfit to have travelled in, including the interesting shoes.
Am looking forward to seeing some more summery outfits in the coming days.

    1. Well, I don't suppose Queen Margrethe or Princess Benedikte will be able to do such trips to foreign countries, also the king might have some business at home to attend to, and with the Crown Prince in military training, the duty falls to the queen to go for overseas visits right now. Not many people left in the Danish Royal Family for these tasks at the moment.

    2. Nice outfit, but just nice. I bet she would prefer to be with Frederick.

    3. Queen Mary is there on an OFFICIAL visit. This means a working visit - she's there to do work, and if you read the caption, part of her stay involves visiting United Nations departments in Kenya. Therefore the King has no business to attend such a visit, nor would he want or be expected to. This is not a state visit, which is a completely different thing, which is by invitation by the host country, and where both King and Queen would be attending.

    4. Well, it is not a state visit. It is partly an official visit and partly a visit at the UNEA-7 meeting of the UN office in Nairobi. Other Queens like Maxima and Mathilde are also doing similar visits alone (from Queen Mathilde I know that she is never alone during these sort of visits, there is always a Belgian delegation going with her).

  3. Belle association de bleus sur un haut blanc au revers en dentelle !

  4. Unfortunately, baggy pants seem to be in vogue for some royals lately. I will cut Mary some slack because she was travelling and they are comfortable when you are sitting in a plane for long periods. The blazer and inner blouse look great. And the light blue against the navy is splendid.

  5. La tenue est jolie et décontractée, cependant les chaussures ne s'harmonisent pas tellement avec les autres couleurs (elles s'accorderaient peut-être mieux avec un pantalon brun ou noir et une veste caramel).

  7. I have always liked this jacket, though the arms seem a bit tight, perhaps with the type of sleeve from the blouse. A nice feminine blouse

  8. I have a similar light blue linen blazer which I like very much. Unfortunately when I bought it I accepted the advice of the lady in the shop. She said it was my size and that I had to leave the jacket open because nobody wore a jacket like this closed. I must admit that I was a bit thinner than now and that each time I wear this jacket I regret that I didn't bought one size bigger so that I can close the button when there is too much wind. Or I must wear a long scarf around my neck to close the front part of my jacket a bit.
