Prince Albert and Princess Charlene's twins, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, are celebrating their 11th birthday today, December 10, 2025. The Prince's Palace of Monaco released new photos of Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella to mark the occasion, along with a caption: "A very happy birthday to Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who celebrate their 11th birthday today."
Princess Gabriella was born on December 10, 2014, at Grace Hospital. Two minutes later, Prince Jacques was born. Although he arrived after his sister, he is the heir to the throne of Monaco due to male-preference succession.

Qu’ils sont craquants ; j’adore leurs différences de blondeur - Bon et heureux anniversaire à tous les deux !
ReplyDeleteCertes des photos posées mais de magnifiques enfants avec de très beaux yeux
ReplyDeleteFroufrou
Happy Birthday Beautifuls.
ReplyDeleteBefore anyone says Gabriella is wearing eye liner, she was naturally born like that when you look at previous birthday photos from when she was little.

DeleteBeautifull pictures of two very friendly faces!
ReplyDeleteMagnifiques Jacques et Gabriella et hereaux anniversaire !!
ReplyDeleteAgreed.😘🎄🧑🎄☃️
DeleteMale-preference succession - the children are born 2014 in europe!
ReplyDeleteWell I am sure she will have a very active place in his life.
Deletetechnically they were born on the same day, same hour. the surgeon would have changed angle of section and Jacques would have come out first
DeleteLovely kids! Happy Birthday to both of them.

Beautiful children!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to two beautiful twins. I like the close up photos. Their eyes are the same color.
Paloma.
What beautiful portraits of both of the children. I see Prince Jacques has a look of his Mom and Prince Rainier. I see Princess Gabriella looking so much like her Dad.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to them.
Lowri.
Beautiful children and very pretty portraits, it's always lovely to see them together. I do wish the princely family would invest in a better photographer, it's hard not to compare the portraits from Monaco, which are very cold and overly bright, with the stunning portraits that Matt Porteous takes of the Prince of Wales' family, which are so warm and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe Prince's Palace has stunning historical rooms, Roc Agel is beautiful and has incredible views of Monaco. It's such a waste of beautiful backdrops, and even when they are used, it looks sterile, and the decor often does not help at all. The portraits from the times of Prince Rainier and Princess Grace, both official ones as well as family ones only released later to the public, were so beautfiful and used all of those "backdrops" to their fullest potential.
You are right, Anonymous 16:24. But I think this sterile "very cold and overly bright" look is exactly what the Monaco-family wants.
DeleteI do not agree with you. These pictures are not cold on the contrary they are very warm. Perhaps they have another style than the portraits of the Waleses but that doesn't mean that they are not beautiful. The Grimaldi's are people from the South of Europe, there is more sunshine than in GB. The pictures which are taken for their birthday are taken (in December) inside the castle and are festive and christmassy. The photos are also taken in close-up. It is a different approach than a photo which is taken with a landscape behind. How many critics the princesses of The Netherlands and Belgium had to hear about their birthday pictures, because there was each time a dark wall behind them. It is a question of taste. The way portraits are taken change like fashion. In the old days the painters who painted portraits of the king and queens had also each their own style. Not every painter was appreciated in every country. Lucky, otherwise the old portraits would have been the same everywhere. The last state portraits which were made of King Felipe and Queen Letizia were also rather dark, but they were special and very appreciated by the people of Spain. You also mentioned that the interior of the Castle in Monaco is not good to take pictures. I wonder why, it is not because a castle is not very big that the rooms inside cannot be beautiful. There are also old paintings on the wall, ancient furniture and valuable objects like vases etc... just like in any other castle.
DeleteMaybe you prefer older portraits like those taken from Prince Rainier and Princess Grace, but times and styles change and what people liked then might not be what people like who are living today.
Funny how we can see things differently. My personal preference is opposite of yours, where I think the Monaco photos are much more appealing, but that’s just one person’s opinion. Also makes it interesting to see the range of photos released from each royal family.
DeleteThat’s what so special about this blog,we come with varying views and opinions, but it’s interesting read the opinions of others, who see it from a completely different viewpoint. No one is right or wrong, it’s an opinion.
DeleteI also see it differently, I find these photos more natural. Also these kids have fair hair vs the Wales have dark hair. Dark backgrounds are stuffy looking, very regal, old. I will add that I would prefer blue clothing as it does seem to look better, but that is just my preference
DeleteI looked at these photos and thought how chic they were. This family has a totally different style than the Wales. Personally I like these better. They're just more formal and more royal.
DeleteThey are beautiful children, so photogenic. These photos are divine. They look natural and authentic.
ReplyDeleteThese two are such a delight to watch growing up. A very happy 11th birthday, to Jacques and Gabriella of Monaco.
