The Duchess of Edinburgh is undertaking an official visit to Peru, Panama and Guatemala at the request of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. On November 13, 2025, the Duchess visited the Divino Niño Jesus Vision Centre in the Amazonian city of Iquitos, Peru. This non-profit organisation has been a member of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, of which the Duchess is Global Ambassador, since 2014.
The Centre runs social eye-care programmes in southern Lima and the Amazon, focusing on underserved communities and having delivered nearly 30,000 cataract surgeries over its 20 years of operation. The Duchess toured the clinic and thanked the medical and support staff for their work to help prevent blindness in the region.
In the evening, the Duchess of Edinburgh attended a reception in Lima celebrating UK–Peru relations, women’s empowerment and the environment, including a visit to the Natural History Museum’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition temporarily displayed at the Británico Institute.

Nobody can have any doubts about how the prototype of a summer outfit looks like for Duchess Sophie. She pulls it though without the lightest of deviations. - Maybe it could help if the Crown sends her to visit colder climates?
ReplyDeleteThe waistline of the Lexy London dress is too high and the Max Mara dress (a rewear) doesn't fit either (too wide). None of these dresses look attractive to me. The blazer looks nice, but not to wear with one of these dresses.
ReplyDeleteA few of the royal ladies do not pay too much attention to their Outfit as long as it looks nice and is practical for their daily Job. Attention for the people they are meeting is much more important than being stylish or a fashion Icon. This earns our respect .
