On November 13, 2025, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended WWF’s 2025 autumn meeting held in Tyresta National Park near Stockholm. The World Wide Fund for Nature (Världsnaturfonden) in Sweden was founded in 1971 to contribute financially to WWF’s international operations and to provide funding for research, education, and practical nature conservation efforts in Sweden.
Marie Dacke’s book The Magnificent World of the Hedgehog (Igelkottens förunderliga värld) received the 2026 Panda Book of the Year Award. Marie Ann-Charlotte Dacke is a professor of Sensory Biology, at the Lund Vision Group in Lund University. The founder of the Plogga organization, Erik Ahlström, was named Environmental Hero of the Year by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
