On November 3, 2025, Queen Sofía of Spain attended the 2025 BMW Painting Award ceremony at the Teatro Real in Madrid. This year marks the 40th edition of the award, which continues to uphold its mission of promoting and highlighting the value of Spanish art and pictorial culture. After the ceremony, Queen Sofía attended a charity concert in support of children’s food banks.
Since 1986, the competition has fostered artistic creativity in Spain and supported social projects through collaboration with the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL). This year, more than 1,300 guests from the cultural, artistic, and social spheres gathered to celebrate the award’s 40th anniversary. The winners were Chimo Moya, recipient of the BMW Digital Award, and Amaya Suberviola, winner of the BMW Painting Award.

La reine est magnifique dans cette veste portée sur une robe dorée avec des nuances de blanc, le tout se retrouvant dans ses bijoux dont les perles !
ReplyDeleteI understand queen Sofia loves shopping and I really wonder where she stores her vast wardrobe. Unless I am blind, I have rarely seen her reware anything, which I find quite astonishing for reasons that need no explanation.

Interesting insight Virginia!
DeleteI bet a lot of those clothes are from ages ago, nowadays she only has a salary for living.
Delete@Virginia's insight: this is a repeated suit (ufonomore states it). Sofia does have quite some of repeated items. But, considering that she had her 87th birthday some days ago, more insightful commenters could/would take into consideration: since when explicit re-wearing is thought of as something valuable? This said, it would be very different corners of royal fashion that I would begin with when criticising missing re-wear.
DeleteThe golden jacket and dress look beautiful, very effective, in photos. Love the double strand pearl necklace.
