Queen Rania of Jordan attended the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo, accompanied by Princess Salma. The two were received at the museum by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi. The opening ceremony brought together world leaders, foreign dignitaries, and cultural representatives.
The Queen and Princess joined a tour of the facilities, viewing a selection of the museum’s most iconic exhibits. Housing tens of thousands of Egyptian artifacts, the Grand Egyptian Museum is the world’s largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization. For the occasion, Queen Rania wore a long red draped dress by Dolce & Gabbana.

Queen Rania her red dress is lovely. The skirt of the dress reminds a bit the clothes of the Egyptian Pharao's. On the groups picture I also see a bit to the left of the center former Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg.
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit scarry watching her children growing up and getting older, while she is looking younger by the day.

I had precisely the same observations Ana Katarina.
DeleteI couldn’t agree more
DeleteThe draped red dress is nice, but I prefer the black dress, worn by Princess Salma, she looks very elegant, love her color of accessories.
ReplyDeleteThe younger generation in this family always wear black or very dark colothes. It is a sad picture.
DeleteI do not care for the long drape in the front and certainly not the white shoes.
ReplyDeleteAgree !!

DeleteI agree about the shoes and purse. For some reason I have never liked white accessories.
Magnifique drapé mais avec quelques petits centimètres en plus, son look serait bien mieux ; je ne suis pas du tout fan des chaussures blanches !
ReplyDeletePrincess Camille de Bourbon was also in attendance. Very beautiful woman.
ReplyDeleteI don't know her. She doesn't belong to any of the reigning European royal families.
DeleteThey are befriended with a lot of royals. Prince laurent of Saxen-Coburg. KF & QM of Denmark.
DeleteThey are godmother/father to one of their children.
I often wonder how she keeps her amazing figure, she looks good in this dress.
ReplyDeleteI think that the long front drape looks better on the full length gown than on the length that Rania is wearing. For her gown length, the drape should have been shorter. P.Salma looks very good. Love her dress.

Well said and I agree with you take on draping vs length. The red color looks fantastic although I’m not a fan of white shoes, but that’s just my preference.
DeleteI like the long version on the model as well.
ReplyDeleteVery nice red dress on Q R!
ReplyDeleteThe Lady in red. great color for her. Her daughter Salma looks great too.

Sorry, I am sure that queen Rania is a person we should take seriously, but I must say that she is beginning to bore and baffle me. Younger and even younger than ever, whatever next, her sweet and natural daughter at her side, outshined by her domineering mother, I find this development more and more disturbing.

Me too. She looks almost younger then here children
DeleteThe daughter is dressed more conservatively than the Queen. MR
