On Monday, November 3, 2025, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands paid a working visit to the municipality of Haarlem. Haarlem is one of eleven pioneering municipalities participating in the Leading Locals network of MIND Us. The visit took place at Haarlem College, where Queen Máxima attended part of the resilience session Stay Connected. This session is part of the school program developed by Youz Nexdoor, which focuses on strengthening young people’s mental resilience and social self-confidence.
Different, to be sure, and modern casual which is nice, but I think I've liked other unusual Maxima outfits more than this one. It looks awkward when she's sitting...like her arms are trapped in a red muff, and when her bare arms peek over the top, it looks like the muff is about to slide all the way down.

Oh boy it’s a no for the top despite being a great colour for her, just to odd for my taste. I can’t imagine the top being comfortable when lifting your arms, it woild ride up.The pants fit perfect.

I think this would be more attractive if the bare shoulders didn´t peak out. Some sleeves, even long ones, had been better.

DeleteI’m not sure I understand the design (sleeveless sweater underneath) but I really love it! I think the bright color and fuzzy material makes it even better for early winter weather. And pairing with matching pants, boots, bag puts all the focus on the unique sweater. Great outfit!
ReplyDeleteLove this really interesting fashion look. Something different and absolutely lovely on Maxima. An unembellished top so it’s not overwhelming and simply the shapes, including that of the shoulder “cutouts” (or shoulder showing), make their own statement.
ReplyDeleteTo wear silly outfits is a distraction for the equally silly stringy hair, no negative comments, this is my opinion.

She will always have eyes on her no matter what she is wearing. I am at the point that I believe comments about Maxima's hair looking bad are what is written when you want to comment but have nothing to say.

Delete@1:50 Fair comment. @20:37 You can’t write something which verges on rue (“string hair” about a Queen) and not expect some push back here. We have to remain kind and remember we are speaking about humans with feelings.
DeleteHonestly, I don´t care about what she feels if the comment is both true and within the realms of normal critique (as is the case with 20:37). In fact, I see a greater danger in people tiptoe-ing around saying anything critical for the fear of hurting someone´s feelings. And royals need to live with everything from harsh criticism to extreme admiration.
DeleteRegarding Maxima in particular, I agree about her hair looking unkempt most of the time. Sometimes it´s so bad it´s rude towards the people she meets. It is fair game to react to that, and repeatedly. Having said that, I think her hair wasn´t that bad this time.
I don't mind this at all. It is Natan, surprisingly. The design is only a problem is she needs to something physical. This top is fine for just sitting and having a discussion with people. I like the color on her and the trousers are a very nice, modern cut. I think the two pieces work well together.
