King Charles III and Queen Camilla are undertaking a historic State Visit to the Holy See. The King and Queen joined Pope Leo XIV to celebrate the 2025 Jubilee Year. Traditionally observed every 25 years, the Jubilee is a special time for the Catholic Church. Their Majesties visited Abbey of St. Paul’s Outside the Walls to attend an ecumenical service marking His Majesty’s appointment as Royal Confrater of the Abbey of St. Paul’s.
St. Paul’s Outside the Walls is recognized as the Papal Basilica dedicated to reconciliation, ecumenism, and fostering relationships across the Christian faiths. The English Crown maintained a particular link with St. Paul’s Outside the Walls until the Reformation.
Queen Camilla also met with Catholic Sisters from the International Union of Superiors General (UISG). Established canonically in 1965, the UISG works globally at the grassroots level to promote women’s empowerment through girls’ education programs, improved access to healthcare, climate action, and the prevention of sexual violence and human trafficking.

thank goodness she took the crow-feather thing off her head.

DeleteAgree! Her white outfit looks very good.
DeleteHere, she wears something else, which would be the topic, but you prefer to place a little toxic remark about something she does not wear. Well done? Don't think so.
DeleteThis outfit shows why she should ditch those small standing collars she so often has and also those real shirt collars on her dresses. These clean lines are simply perfect, and for her it is also valid: even if the neck is not really smooth and young, better show it because it separates better head and upper body in an age when the head tends to sink down and forward. This collarless V-neckline has an elongating effect. I think this dress is one of best she has ever worn, at least for me. Perfect length and very good shoe color.
ReplyDeleteWell said! MR
DeleteFully agreed. This cut works so much better, first and foremost because it frames her face nicely and creates an elongated look.

DeleteKeep up the good work, Camilla!
ReplyDeleteQueen Camilla looks much better dressed here !!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful outfit. The Queen looks stunning. I accept that others were not keen on the earlier outfit but I feel that that the dress was perfect and after assessing the complete outfit she looked lovely and the main issue was that the fascinator did not look right from every angle.
ReplyDeleteThe previous outfit's hat was horrid, looked like crows flying through her hair. Terrible look.

Agree! The black hat and veil were awful. She looked like the evil witch in fairytales.
DeleteIn the style that suits her, Camilla looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is along the lines of her usual style but I like it very much. The embroidered details look lovely, as do the wide pleats on the skirt. Camilla always looks nice in the white palette of colours and here it is quietly appropriate.

This outfit is flowing and very flattering. However, I would have preferred matching shoes and clutch. 🌞 Virginia
ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful and elegant.
ReplyDeleteShe does!!
DeleteThe Queen wears whites/ivories well and this outfit looks nice. She wears this cut often so it must be one that she prefers. I think it makes her look larger than she is and I personally prefer her in dresses/skirts that finish just below the knee. Specifically, I think the embroidery on this jacket is perfect for this occasion.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. This cut makes her lower half appear larger.
DeleteVery nice outfit, but should it be white?

She can be in this color because this is not the papal visit. She did, however, wear cream during a papal visit with Pope Francis in 2017 when she was the Duchess of Cornwall. I think that was misstep by her and am surprised she wasn't given better guidance.
DeleteThis outfit looks good. I like the coatdress, it falls well and has nice movement from the pleating of the skirt. The embellishments give it some interest.
ReplyDeleteToujours le même style mais le blanc ou crème lui sied parfaitement

What a difference a day makes, the Queen looks great in that coat.

@19.57 .. `even if the neck is not really smooth and young` - what a dreadful comment.

ReplyDeleteWhy @Anon 11:00? What is dreadful about the truth - it is a fact that our necks shorten with age and the skin becomes loose (mine too, I am Camilla's age). I did not write she has to cover it up or that she looks "horrible" (as some here chose to use words like this). Just that wearing a neckline like she does here is really favourable.
