On October 14, 2025, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands paid a working visit to the municipality of Oss. The municipality has over 95,000 residents and consists of the city itself and 23 surrounding villages. During the visit, the focus was on maintaining and strengthening community spirit, supporting citizen-led initiatives to enhance social connections, and exploring opportunities to preserve community meeting spaces.

The visit to Oss began at the De Ruwaard Health Center. The newly constructed building was opened for use at the end of September. Next, Queen Máxima visited Community Center De Haard, where she attended various activities. De Haard is a place created by, for, and with the neighborhood — a hub where residents can meet, where organizations and individuals are connected, and where several associations have their base.

Following this, Queen Máxima visited Urban Ox Park in Sibeliuspark, an initiative by a group of young residents of Oss and local entrepreneurs. Urban Ox Park includes a calisthenics area, a pump track, and a skate park. The visit to Oss concluded at the Frans Heesen Stadium with the Community Champions project of the TOP Oss Foundation.

  1. Borrowed one of her daughter’s outfit today.

  2. Elegant petit pull sur lequel apparaît une incrustation/broche similaire à ses boucles d’oreilles ; avec son pantalon blanc, cela donne un merveilleux look !

  3. These look like very good community facilities and how fantastic to have the support of the Queen of your country. I like her relaxed vibe in these photos and she seems to engage so intently when she visits and sits with small groups. Brava, Maxima.

    2. Not only in The Netherlands, but in Belgium and the GD of Luxembourg (in fact in the Benelux) there are facilities for elderly like card clubs, hobby clubs, special restaurants where older people can take lunch and do some card playing in the afternoon, sports clubs for the youth, play grounds for childeren during the school holidays while the parents are off working, neighborhood centers where volunteers are helping older people and people of foreign origin with the filling in of their official papers, etc.... Regularly the queens and GD's of these countries are invited to visit these facilities.

  6. She spends si much on clothes and jewels, why not a little on hairdressers?

    1. Agreed. She can do much better. Her hair is not doing her any favours.

    2. Because it’s not important to her and /or she likes the way it is. If she wanted it different, it would be different. As it’s not, we assume that she is content with it (and stop commenting on it).

    3. How do you know how much she spends on clothes and jewels ?
She is wearing and mixing very often old clothes. The art is how to mix styles and colors and couture jewelry which she wears on her sweater today. It is a fact that many royal ladies do not know how to dress themselves and are wearing combinations that are not looking good because the colors do not match or because the accessories are not adapted to the dress or jacket and trousers, or whatever....

  7. This is a very sloppy look for the queen of the Netherlands. Furthermore, her stringy hair needs retouching at the roots. Disappointing.

    1. Well I love it, that she goes to spend time with people in more casual looks. I think they love it to, and she’s their queen.

  8. Not bad, but not the greatest either. She can do better.

  9. Not one of QM better looks. It would be perfect for running errands, but not for an away day visit. There’s no reason whatsoever for her hair to look so unattended to.

    1. I do not think Queen Maxima is running for errands herself. She has no time for doing that and besides she has staff members in the palace who do this for her.
When she is dressed too casual she receives bad comments, when she is visiting an institution, a factory or a hospital she receives bad comments because her outfit is not business like enough. And certainly when she wears a hat to cover her difficult hair.
How can you still spent time by writing about her hair. It won't change. It only looks good during state visits or on other important outings and when she uses hair extensions or having a beautiful hair updo. Sometimes the day after her hair is still good looking.
The rest of the year you will have to look at less lovely hair or you can simply not look anymore.

  10. Uhhh mmm... I think would like this casual outfit better had she made 2 style changes: 1) worn her hair in a ponytail--I don't typically comment on Queen Maxima's hair because its just not worth it but this time her hair looks sloppy and so messy that it looks unkempt, certainly not professional; 2) taken off that ugly adornment on her blouse--I have no idea what it is but its pretty awful; she has so many other decorative pins to choose from that would have been a better choice. The basics of this outfit are good. Queen Maxima can carry off the wide legged trousers. The blue top is fine--it's a bit of a casual top but it's nice.
