On Thursday afternoon, October 16, Queen Máxima opened the new global headquarters of Royal Philips in Amsterdam. The sustainable building was developed with input from Philips employees, who placed a strong emphasis on social interaction and collaboration. During her visit, Queen Máxima received a briefing on how technology — including artificial intelligence — can contribute to improving healthcare for more people.

To conclude her visit, Queen Máxima spoke with Philips employees about the projects and mission that drive the company’s daily work.

  2. Beautiful outfit for Maxima. The green is lovely on her. The hat is beautiful for her face/ head shape. I love that she wears hats for celebrations such as openings.

I like Maxima's well-fitted green dress and she wears the hat well. I'm partial to the Dogwood pin. Dogwood is the state flower and tree of Virginia. I think her feet in the shoes look a little strange. I think a 2 1/2 inch heel would flatter the foot more.

    1. I believe it is a mock orange brooch, not dogwood per the article above. Designer is Luz Camino. Though. Dogwood flower is pretty too.

  5. Fantastic outfit. I love everything about it - the simple but well cut dress, the fit of it, the lovely colour, the signature hat, and of course, the beautiful brooch which accessorizes so well with the overall look. Maxima has done very well here.

  6. The thing with these body-skimming dresses is that if one gains even a pound or two, the fit is off and wrinkles appear from nowhere. These designs flatter most body shapes, but.... sadly they are very unforgiving to the slightest weight change in either direction. I think this frock should be retired to the back of the wardrobe, at least for the time being. Lyra

    1. Why Lyra ? She can wear this dress. She has loose weight too, together with her daughter. I like the brooch modern and fresh, much better than all these old jewelry.

    2. That's does not apply to Queen Maxima.

    3. Lyra, you are right: the skirt should be just 2 cm’s wider not to stick on certain places, and than the total look would be perfect

    4. I think it’s a beautiful shape for Maxima. As women, we do not need to be perfect to wear certain garments. We can be human, imperfect and look great.

  7. Je me suis empressée d’arriver sur l’image de la broche ; j’adore la délicatesse des fleurs ainsi les feuilles en verre ?!

  8. I would like this outfit better without the hat. Maxima’s diamond stud earrings are gorgeous.

  11. En regardant mieux la broche, les feuilles sont faites de résine colorée ; magnique création qui me fait beaucoup penser à du seringat délicatement parfumé composant les bouquets de mariée !
