Queen Mathilde began a two-day working visit to Armenia in her capacity as an Advocate for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On October 14, 2025, the Queen visited Mission Armenia Social Services to learn about initiatives that help refugees integrate into society in Yerevan. She was later received by the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, for discussions on Armenia’s commitment to the SDGs.

Later in the day, Queen Mathilde took part in a working lunch on gender equality, where she met four Armenian women with inspiring life stories. Together, they discussed women’s empowerment in Armenian society. The Queen also met with students from Yerevan’s oldest university to hear about their interests and engagement in sustainable development.

  1. La femme en costume gris dont les revers des poignets sont gris clairs est très classe. Paloma.

  2. Where is the waistline on Mathilde? It is not an empire waistline, it is a lopside waistline gone totally wrong. I like the colour and the pattern, but really nothing else. Oh I forgot: The coat over the dress is nice, because the coat seems to be really nice and because it hides the dress.

    1. Mathilde has a difficult to dress waistline. I love the coat. The dress is a beautiful colour and length for her but I don’t like the neckline the designer or tailor has added. The v neck looks better (on the model) although it is way too deep, but the bit of skin is a better contrast for the busy material than having it all the way up in a high neckline.

    2. The neckline was fashion when the dress was new.

    3. Agree about the waistline. It´s an odd placement, and it certainly doesn´t work for Mathilde. The dress itself is not bad, I don´t mind the colour, the pattern, the sheer sleeves or the neck. But: I mind that it´s worn during the day when it had better been saved for a cocktail reception.

  3. Queen Mathilde in a rewear she wore for the 1st time in 2019 for a state visit to the GD of Luxembourg. She wore this ensemble on a couple of visits in the years after 2019. She also wore the dress alone without the coat.Dress and coat are by Natan. Her earrings are by Percosi Papi and made of green Jade. Clutch is by Fabienne Delvigne and shoes by Jimmy Choo both in cognac colour. The colors of this outfit are beautiful on Queen Mathilde and her accessories are a good match with the brown flowers in her dress.

Paloma.

The best advice I can give is to dump NATAN. Why wear a designer's dress that truly does NOT flatter your figure. No good reason I can ever think of. The Queen has some lovely clothes that flatter her personal silhouette. This is NOT one of them. We all encounter challenges with our own figures. Re-wear what works - she'll be better served.

    1. Pretty much agree with that logic!

    2. If Queen Mathilde decides to recycle an older dress and coat, it is not up to us to give her advice. When CP Elisabeth wore a dress by Natan at the enthronement of the new GD's in Luxembourg everybody liked it, as well as the evening gown by Natan worn by Queen Maxima. A "fournisseur de la cour" like Edouard Vermeulen will not be "dumped", maybe the collaboration will stop when he retires but it is possible that the house of Natan will continue after that with the young and new designers who are working with him already.

  8. I saw a clip of the wedding of Philippe and Mathilde. She looked so demure and shy. We see her today on the world stage, confidently representing Belgium, and looking wonderful doing so. Though I don’t always appreciate HM choices especially if it relates to Natan, she does always look well put together. Her hair make-up and accessories or usually on point. She always delivers on attention to detail.

    1. Very good, fair comment. Of course the queen cannot abandon Natan.
The queen does not represent herself, she represents the Crown i.e.
the people, which includes its industries and related branches.

  9. I like the pattern, length and sleeves of the Natan dress but it’s spoiled by the high tight neckline, though she obviously couldn’t wear it slashed to the waist like the model. Love ly coat
