On October 8, Princess Kako of Japan attended the closing ceremony of the 79th National Sports Festival (formerly the National Athletic Meet) at Heiwado HATO Stadium in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture. Princess Kako presented the Emperor’s Cup and the Empress’s Cup to the representatives of Shiga Prefecture, which won the overall championships in both the men’s and women’s categories. Afterward, she visited Ibuki High School in Maibara City.
The placement of those plaits is a masterpiece of design, perfectly manufactured. Extreme loveliness here, and that very modest but very visibly present decolleté neckline is a beautiful addition.
ReplyDeleteThe pleats? - yes they’re lovely. I love this fitted-flared dress design and this is a beautiful example in a glorious colour.
DeleteBeautifull dress!
ReplyDeleteShe is just so cute.
ReplyDeleteThis rich blue dress with matching jewellry and hairclip look wonderful on her!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful dress, wonderful on this beautiful princess!
ReplyDeleteThe dress is stunning. The way the fabric swirls and crosses over the waist like a waterfall into the skirt is so amazing. The brilliant shade of blue looks great on Kako. I only wish the dress was a few inches shorter. It is a bit overwhelming on the petite princess.
ReplyDeleteA very nice dress with movement, though I don’t like how the darts are so prominent. I guess this is why the Japanese usually have princess seams on the bodice
ReplyDeleteI Think if it was shorter, the dress might look childish. It needs to have the room to swirl as it does so beautifully. She looks great.
