On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Princess Anne visited Ukraine at the request of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. While in Kyiv, the Princess met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska. She also toured St. Sophia’s Cathedral and later paid her respects at the Children’s Memorial alongside the First Lady Zelenska.
At the Child Rights Protection Centre, the Princess listened to families and children who had been returned and reintegrated, and spoke with those working tirelessly to bring more Ukrainian children home. She also visited a Rehabilitation Centre, where she met Ukrainian veterans returning from the front line, including service personnel learning to live with injuries and conflict-related trauma.

A very supportive visit by the Princess Royal. The images at the Children Memorial is very moving. It really hits home the loss, there are no words, just dreadful. No fashion comment today.
