On October 1, 2025, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands paid a working visit to the city of Toulouse in the Occitanie region of France. The visit aimed to stimulate trade relations, attract new mutual investments, and strengthen innovative partnerships and knowledge exchange. The day began with a reception hosted by the Prefect of Occitanie and the President of the Regional Council at the Prefect’s residence.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima then visited the global headquarters of aircraft manufacturer Airbus. In the afternoon, the Royal Couple visited the urban farm Domaine de Candie, where the use of robotics in the agricultural sector was highlighted. Occitanie is the largest agricultural region in France. For the occasion, the Queen wore an outfit by Natan.
I love this outfit on Maxima, from hat to shoe. The jacket is beautifully cut and shaped, and the wide lapel neckline, together with the narrow belted peplum, prevents the whole outfit, including the lovely pleat-wrap skirt from looking too heavy. Her hair looks lovely in a low chignon and you couldn't get more perfect with the beret-type cap in a stylish nod to France. Nice to see those gold block heels again instead of stilettoes to finish off this smart outfit.

De même, j’aurais préconisé le port d’un bandeau avec des cheveux tout aussi relevés à la place de ce chapeau.
Dans l’ensemble, la reine est magnifique, comme de coutume.

Oh, loveliness everywhere! Specifically: This jacket. It is not so "closed", a bit more openness around the neckline and the shoulders, offering a wonderful frame for pearls, so that they can shine all around and not only at the front. The jacket is a dream come true. The skirt is a bit too stiff and maybe longer at the back? Shoes, hairdo and cap , very well put together, the sum is a perfectly elegant classic Madame.

ردحذفI’m sure this is a re-wear. She wore it for the Netherlands state visit to Belgium ‘23. I find the skirt too stiff, very little flow to it,it looks like it’s been heavily starched. I find the jacket lapels too wide too far apart. Not a favourite of QM.

Queen Maxima wore this outfit for the state visit to Belgium in 2023, I think. If I remember correctly she wore a big hat with it. I hear the classic remarks about the skirt that the fabric is too stiff. How can you copy a silk outfit by Dior from the years 1945-1950 by using a soft and fluid fabric ? It wouldn't be possible and the effect would be lost completely. The skirt is indeed a bit longer at the back, just like they made similar feminine outfits in those days.

ردحذفThis outfit is beautiful, I have not loved an ensemble so much lately as this one that the Queen has worn. The suit is very becoming, it fits perfectly. The pearl necklace, perfect addition. The subtle pearl and diamond earrings was a good choice. Love her hat, small and sedate.
