  1. Once again, something slightly different on Mary, but I think it is quite successful and suitable for an evening event at the symphony. I like the pale lilac/pink(?) colour, and the shimmering top carries the trousers from daytime to nighttime quite well. I like that the tones are all quite muted, and the only burst of colour is provided by her bouquet. Something different and unusual to appreciate.

    1. Beautifully expressed and made me think twice Anon 9:13. I prefer the outfit of the little girl and think it would suit Mary better because she looks better in darker colours. But I realise it can be the camera lights which change the real look. Or it can be the Max Mara doesnt design in a way I enjoy, but Mary nevertheless looks very elegant.

  3. Wonderful outfit! And the most ingenious use of a ribbon tie - now marking her waist and hiding that unsightly seam instead of hanging randomly from the neck. (I just hope she elegantly tucked in the ends rather than tying the ribbon apron-like in the back with the tails randomly hanging from her backside now :-)

  4. Beautiful, modern, and interesting…fashion claps for the Queen!! Also love the photo of the young girl standing next to the Queen and King…what a pure smile!

This is just my opinion, but I think the Princess of Wales would look great in a similar hairstyle. It’s not about the length, it’s about the shape of the cut. It frames and lifts the face, which for both women, is just one of their great assets.

  5. This pale lilac outfit looks beautiful. Love the blouse and the pants, which are a terrific fit and not baggy, which is a bonus. The shoes and clutch are a gorgeous color. She looks beautiful.

  7. Like the way her hair looks! Slightly shorter would be even better.

  8. Mary looks exceptionally lovely in shades of purple—both light and dark. She is glowing in these photos both from the glimmering fabric and beautiful complexion.

Bellissimo outfit, mi piace il pantalone così fluido. La bambina è emozionata per aver conosciuto la regina, e ha ben ragione ad esserlo.

  12. I love this on Mary, all is just perfect, from top to toe, passing by the flowers! )I love how the florists must be told what colour the recipient of the bouquet will be wearing and then adapts). Lovely!

    1. I often wonder what communication goes on beforehand between, in this case, the palace and the flower shop.
Whatever goes on, the end result is almost always impressive.
In this case, the bouquet gives the final touch to Queen Mary’s ensemble.

  14. Mary never fails to impress me. This is another great outfit. I'm surprised it's a jumpsuit. I thought it was two pieces. The pale lilac colour is marvelous and the top is very feminine I like how she removed the fussy bow and added a cute belt. I do think her pants are too long. The extra length may be in fashion but I think it's a tripping hazard not to mention unsanitary. It's a different outfit for the evening from what we typically see but it looks fantastic.

Paloma.
