NOLLEY'S Cut Ribbon Skirt (likely)
Ooh waouh,

Clean black-and white, nice silhouette, interesting textures. I´m on record for not being a fan of bow blouses, but this one is actually kind of fine. For two reasons: There is no jacket involved, and the bow is puffy and ornamental which is ok for an evening look, especially when placed towards the shoulder. The outfit is also sharp and sleek otherwise and can handle a bow without nearing librarian-in-the-70s-territory. I would still prefer a different white top, but this isn´t bad.
ReplyDelete(I´m actually wondering now how far to the side one can place such a bow. The off-center look is definitely superior to tying it straight in the middle, and maybe I´d really like it had it been even further towards or actually on her shoulder.)
Exactly my thoughts about the bow - often, they hang down somewhat pathetically as if they were wet, but this one is done perfectly, for all the reasons you stated. Small afterthought: her type and style of bun is just right with this bow (also without looking headteacher-ish).
DeleteTotally agree with your comment. I am also not a fan of bow blouses but liked this because of its off center placement and elegant fluffy size
DeleteVery nice outfit, the blouse balances the fullness of the skirt. The bow on the side is in a good spot so it is not holding up her face. Lovely look over all.
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of black and crisp white combos, but the bow on the blouse makes it too fussy looking and blouse does not seem to tuck into skirt well enough . Thus, it looks a little untidy. A simpler blouse would have given a more elegant look. The fabric of the skirt looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteI like the skirt very much but am not in love with the blouse. I think she could have chosen a more elegant style for this event. I don't think the bow works with the playfulness of the skirt. You can never go wrong with a classic black and white look.
ReplyDeleteI’ll go for the opposite. I like the blouse but the skirt not so much. The fabric and length are good but think a narrower silhouette would have been better
DeleteJ’adore la tenue de la princesse. Je la trouve très élégante, le chemisier est parfait tout comme la longueur de la jupe. Blanc et noir c’est toujours gagnant.
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is ready for the party but the blouse, shoes and tight bun are all work mode.
ReplyDeleteAnonyme 03 : 56 je suis tout à fait d'accord avec vous même si le tissu du chemisier semble raffiné. J'aurais préféré un autre style que l'éternel ruban noué si vieillot ! Paloma.
Delete"Work mode" is a great way to put it. I agree.
DeleteBlack and white is always a smart combination.
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern in the fabric of the skirt.

This outfit is very feminine. The blouse, I love its gorgeous. The black shoes look good. She looks very stylish.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful look on Victoria. The structured black skirt looks very beautiful with the white side bow blouse. A very well balanced outfit.
ReplyDeleteSince Japan is a coservative country, her outfit is perfect. And her smile is gorgeous as always!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful look,I have only a change to propose, not nude tights but black transparent
ReplyDeleteBelle combinaison entre le chemisier et la jupe noire que j'aime beaucoup car elle est évasée ; quand même, petit bémol au niveau du noeud qui donne l'impression de l'étouffer !
ReplyDeleteI love the blouse with the bow .
ReplyDeleteI like this version of the skirt better than the model. This has more fullness giving a more feminine look. Same with the blouse, which normally I don’t like the bow, however the extra fabric balances the look. Love the shoes
ReplyDeleteI would have preferred this lovely skirt with a sleek white boat neck top, maybe off the shoulder. CP Victoria looks nice in off the shoulder.
ReplyDeleteMrs Cleaver
Vicoiok lovely: simple and sophisticated.

ReplyDeleteBlack and white always a great combination. This always looks festive, she looks fantastic.
