On September 11, 2025, the Princess of Wales visited textile mills in Suffolk and Kent to celebrate British textile manufacturers. The Princess first visited Sudbury Silk Mill, a family-run weaving business in Suffolk for more than 300 years. Upon arrival, the Princess was greeted by Jamie Lowther Pinkerton, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Suffolk. Later, the Princess also visited Marina Mill in Cuxton, Kent, another family-run business specialising in hand-designing and screen-printing fabrics.

The PoW looks nice, but I am not a fand of her extremely long hair worn open.

    1. Do not worry, she will certainly have different hair styles next week for 1. the funeral of HRH The Duchess of Kent, and 2. the state visit of US President Trump. Or perhaps not.

What counts most is that Catherine loves her hair as it is (as I am sure does P. William).
She has luscious, long, feminine hair, not for everyone.

Anon 19:14 Thank you for clarifying. I'm glad there is only one rude person body shaming Catherine. I, too, agree with Coralie's comment.

Worrying about someone’s weight is not body shaming. She is notably very thin, and any of us who have felt so sad she has been so I’ll worry about this.

Just a question out of curiosity.
Why thinness is so systematically scrutinized (and I am pretty sure that some comments aim at bodyshaming Catherine, not simply at worrying about her)?
On the contrary, no comment related to obesity was written on the post showing Q. Mathilde at the opening of a symposium about this serious issue.
      Weird, isn't It?
It sounds like obesity is somehow tolerated and has almost a status of
" normalcy" while being a bit too slim is worth investigating.
Someone has ever considered that thinness could be one of the cancer treatments fallout and that Catherine has a whole medical staff at disposal to assist her any time?
I would like that same 'someone' to comment on obesity risks as well.
As to the obsession with Catherine' s hair, I hit back with exactly the same words used by P. Diana's former hairstylist, Sam McKnight.
      Leave her alone, please!!

You point out some very valid issues. Thin/slim people get suspicion about their weight especially from other women. They are never suspicious about why someone is fat. I think it's because most people are overweight and obese today and it has become "normal" while thin people are rare therefore something must be wrong with them. They are either dieting or have an eating disorder.

I just wanted to point out something about Catherine. In her younger days she was much heavier and healthier looking. Her weight plummeted once she became engaged to William. I think that is why people are concerned. The same happened to Diana and we all know why that was the case. I believe some could be genuinely concerned about her.

      @ Sandra
Thank you so much for your reply.
I am not surprised in the least that my previous comment didn't receive a wider feedback.
It seems that I stroke a nerve when I mention obesity issues.
People Who are Always ready to scrutinized Catherine' s weight look to have disappeared now that I brought in the obesity issues...
      Uhmm...
      Unfortunately many people are
overweight or obese today and this results in a number of life threatening illnesses
However and thankfully, a lot of doctors and dieticians are increasingly raising awareness and warning about risks related to unhealthy eating habits.
As to Princess Catherine, yes, I think that some people might see in her a reminder/ replica of Princess Diana' s experience but I think they don't share any similarities as far as their weight loss is concerned, actually.
While it is true that marrying the
(future) Prince of Wales must have been a crucial turning point in both their lives, I am sure that the two princesses faced all those groundbreaking changes in quite different ways .
The two princesses came from different family backgrounds and Catherine has a totally different character.
Diana was so naive, sweet and young when she got married, while Catherine looked to be so much stronger and confident when she got engaged to P. William.
I think that Catherine's weight plummeted because of the severe sickness which characterized her pregnancies and ,above all , due to cancer and subsequent treatments.
Nobody knows what she has exactly gone through and to what extent surgery and chemo outcomes have affected her body.
I am sure that it will still take some time before she can put on weight, though I am no expert, of course.
I can't deny that It hurts me seeing this wonderful Princess being looked at through a magnifying glass , from head/ hair to toe.
I wonder why it is so hard for some people to simply respect her and commend her for just being there performing her royal duties with a brave and stoic smile on her face.
And...I still hope that the thinness Police will show up sooner or later to discuss how much obesity risks have an impact on people's lives with the same attention they use to scrutinize the Princess of Wales.

    9. Dear @P. the original and @Sandra for your wise and true words. I am "petite" and slim but my two older sisters are not, you understand what I mean.
I inherited my genes from my father who has Italian roots and was really slim. My sisters are like my mother who was much rounder. My sisters are always saying that I'm too skinny and of course it hurts me but they don't understand it. For them the normal weight is their size. I never tell them anything about their weight, but I like to meet them rarely 😁.

Fascinating how the cameras cannot accurately pick up the pattern in her suit. It also creates disproportion in the overall photos. Very interesting to note!

The PoW is well dressed for the occassion in a pantsuit which fits well. I would prefer to see her hair a couple of inches shorter, as, in my opinion, she could do with some more volume

Very nice suit. As stated above, the extremely long hair is not her best look. I much preferred when it was more shoulder length. I still think, imo that she has a hair piece, it just doesn’t look natural to me.

I much prefer the slimmer straighter pant leg on PoW. She’s of slim build so other styles never seem to sit right in her. I hope she sticks to this more flattering style.

  11. Since the suit is a dull grey, I would have loved to have seen a brighter colour for the top inside. Emerald green, fuschia or even burgundy would have jazzed it up.
    Black is boring.

I believe the royal mourning period due to the Duchess of Kent’s death is the likely reason for the somber colors of Catherine’s outfit.

I love the suit with belted trousers and heels. This has become her signature look and it's a good one to go with. But like many others, I do not like her hair anymore. It's pulling her face down and making her look older than she is. She must like it like this, but she's savvy when it comes to fashion and I'd think she could see the difference.

Elegante traje, pero como siempre, lo que realza, la belleza de la Princesa Catherina, no es su vestimenta sino su lenguaje no verbal.

Catherine and Letizia are two "royals" who know and use their tastes and tailors to fit themselves in beautiful suits. This particular one is the perfect fit in my opinion. The black shirt is a great choice. I completely disagree with many others who do not like her hair. Whether it is all hers, or extensions, or a wig...it looks fabulous on her. Good for her.
