On September 23, 2025, Princess Aiko of Japan visited the Japan Racing Association’s (JRA) Equestrian Park in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo for the 50th Day of the Horse celebration. Since 1968, the JRA has designated the autumnal equinox as ‘Day of the Horse,’ featuring traditional equestrian performances from across Japan.
Princess Aiko watched traditional equestrian arts, including Horohiki, as well as a parade of horses from different regions, at the Equestrian Park. She also observed a show-jumping performance by local junior and senior high school students from the Tsurumaki Riding Sports Youth Club, along with Kazuma Tomoto, a member of the team known as 'Old Boys Japan,' which won the bronze medal in team eventing at the Paris Olympics.
Very nice dress and jacket, perhaps too much of a mature look for her. It would be nice to see her in more youthful clothing but keeping within protocol.
ReplyDeleteThis is really very well chosen, the little jacket is really nice with the dress and the dress has a terrific length, bravo! So much better then longer. For me, either one of her best appearances or maybe, the best.
ReplyDeleteHer lock of short hair hanging across her forehead needs to be grown out.
