Sehr schöne Kleider und guter Stil für Prinzessin Aiko / Gabriela
ReplyDeleteRavissante Aiko dans ce tailleur bleu pâle porté sur un haut blanc ; elle a su choisir des petits talons à bout pointu !
ReplyDeleteAiko is for sure a lovely young woman and she is definitely improving her style. I would however take the liberty to say that aesthetic care could improve the shape of her nose.

DeleteAll depends on what the Japanese Imperial court think about what you don't dare to say that she should have a nose job. Princess Aiko is still young. Maybe one day she will have permission to decide herself about that.
@MaryT It is terribly rude to say any part of a person's body would benefit from a cosmetic procedure. They don't even pierce their ears, so a nose job is highly unlikely, especially when done to stop comments like yours. Until she marries, she will be performing public duties. Since you are so bothered by her natural nose, you may want to avoid posts that include her. That way you won't be tempted to say things that could eventually get back to her causing her question her appearance and create insecurity. And yes, we have heard over the years that comments like yours have indeed gotten back to the royal families. Catharina-Amalia is but one more recent example.
DeleteI totally disagree, MaryT. I am against plastic surgery. Every surgery is a risk. If destiny (or god or whatever) blessed a person with health, be thankful. Don't put health at risk just for vanity.
DeleteThere is nothing wrong with her nose. She’s lovely just the way she is.
DeleteGosh, I've read some rude comments on this site over the years and this one is right up there with the worst of them. Most of the time I'm not shocked by the source, but this time I am.

She is a beautiful, happy engaging young woman, this is a sad comment. She is wonderful the way she is.
DeleteI like the pant suit, best she ever looked. she has learnt something from her mother.
ReplyDeleteI agree the pant suit looks best.
DeleteI agree, the trouser suit is her very best so far, but of course judged from our Western standards. Despite my Internet efforts, I have not been able to find enough information regarding sartorial customs and protocol at the imperial
ReplyDeletecourt of Japan. My knowledge is inadequate.

thet wear Western clothing in Japan, its just the imperial family remaining backward
DeleteThe first time Princess Aiko is really looking good. The light blue pant suit is beautiful and fits her very well, also the light blue shoes are fashionable with the square nose and heels. Both jackets of her white ensembles have a good cut too. The skirt however should be cut differently to be more fashionable the cream shoes should be replaced by a more up-to-date pair. There is certainly an improvement in her ward robe. Maybe she got some advice of Princess Kako, how to obtain permission to wear more fashionable clothes.
ReplyDeleteThe first outfit is extraordinary on her. The second, however, is business as usual.
ReplyDeleteWith very rare exceptions, I dislike pantsuits, and am sorry to see Princess Aiko in one, particularly of this all-too-standard type, with its business-y notched lapels and slightly too snug at the thighs trousers (bringing to mind some of those unfortunately often favored by Victoria and Mathilde). The other two outfits, however — particularly the second one with its collarless jacket and the lovely gathered detailing visible on the top beneath — are wonderful on her. Aiko is adorable and I love to see her continuing to grow in confidence. — Jane
ReplyDeleteHer clothing is very plain. I like to look at the workmanship, the placement of buttons, smooth lapels. Not sure if pastel colours are part of the protocol, I would love to see her in a more vibrant colours.
ReplyDeleteGreat pantsuit - cut and color really suits Aiko. But the skirt on outfit no. 2 is terrible. Why is it that they can't make nice skirts in Japan?
ReplyDeleteStephanie
I love the pant suit. Aiko looks modern, young, and in the suit she reminds me so much of her mother E. Masako.
