King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, together with Crown Princess Leonor, are on a two-day official visit to the province of Navarre. On the second day, the royal family began their program at the Royal Palace of Olite, where they toured the excavation room, the Queen’s chamber, the King’s chamber, as well as the King’s and Queen’s galleries.
Later, the King, Queen, and Leonor traveled to Tudela, where they visited the City Hall. Upon their arrival, the King and Queen, accompanied by Princess Leonor, entered the Plenary Hall, where photographs were taken in front of a commemorative plaque marking their visit. They then greeted members of the municipal corporation and posed for a group photograph. This visit marks Princess Leonor’s first official trip to Navarre as Princess of Viana.
ReplyDeleteLove queen letitzia jacket! Leonore boring for het age
ReplyDelete@"Boring": it is not a fashion show, it is an official royal visit and she is heiress to the Spanish throne.
Delete20:03 remember that young people all over the world including the Princess have access to social media and can be much harmed by painful comments about themselves. It’s not ok to say here what you wouldn’t want her to read. In fact, she is dressed beautifully, simply, and in an easy manner for walking and greeting.
Delete@Anon 20:03: Maybe you should consider how utterly boring your fully content-free and self-centred comment is for others.
DeleteLovely little jacket on the Queen, very much to my taste and preference. I am sure Queen Letizia looks better in it from behind than the model, who seems slightly contorted and the shoulder-waist relation is also not quite what one would expect. As for Leonor, a good example how to dress - no, not age-appropriate, but more importantly, occasion appropriate. She, too, could wear an "age appropriate" mini skirt, but that would be not fit for the occasion and her function.
ReplyDeleteWell said, agree with you.
Paloma.
I think Princess Leonor looks just fine.

So do I she is in the middle of being in military training, wearing a uniform everyday, so I feel that once she is back to being a civilian I am sure we will see a very nice wardrobe.
DeleteDoes aybody have any information about the baton the king is carrying in photo 9? I have noticed he carries it at a lot of outdoor events.
ReplyDeleteAnon in London
I noticed that too and woild be interested in knowing
- Dorothe -

DeleteWhen King Felipe visits a town he receives this baton from the mayor or authority of the town. The time he is visiting the town he must keep the baton with him since he is the person with the highest rang in town.
I don't know anymore if this is the correct explanation. I heard myself for the first time from this tradition a couple of years ago on this blog.
In other countries they have the tradition of giving the keys of the town when a high visitor is coming to visit them.
These traditions are sometimes going back to the middle ages.
Maybe somebody of our Spanish friends could give us the right explanation about the baton they are giving to the king ?
Paloma.
What a beautiful family
ReplyDeleteThe hairdo for cpL is so beautiful 💙Maja
ReplyDeleteI prefer the jacket of Princess Leonor. Vertical stripes are on trend again since last spring.
ReplyDeleteI like her jacket, lovely colour for her though I find the sleeve a tad to tight.
DeleteBest dressed of the royal trio is the king. The ladies are ok, nothing special
ReplyDeleteCH
Funny that when there is a negatieve comment about leonore…. Everybody says; that young people all over the world including the Princess have access to social media and can be much harmed by painful comments about themselves.
ReplyDeleteBut when its about Amalia or maxima nobody mention in. So fake and unbelievable
I agree with you Anon. 19:35
DeleteSome Queens or Princesses never wear the wrong clothes. Other ones always receive the bad comments, but don't worry sometimes those who receive the majority of the bad comments are always commented better in the international press and media in general.
I also noticed that if one commenter starts with giving bad comments many others are following and giving the same bad comments. No imagination at all, they are acting like parrots.
Lovely choices from Mom and daughter.
ReplyDeleteBoth are well presented and appropriately dressed for a royal visit. I get the impression Lenor is a young lady of great depth of character and won’t be bothered about following fashion trends,as she will be about carrying out her duty to her country.
Lowri.

DeleteBut she is dressed fashionally, the striped jackets were fashion during spring and still are in the new collections for autumn and winter. I often get the impression that many commenters do not know what is trendy and some countries apparently start a season later with the selling of new fashionable clothes.
@10:28 Good point! The striped jacket is indeed keeping with the Modern Prep look. Fashion trends are a guide, and personal preferences are made from within those trends. That’s the point I was trying to make!
DeleteLowri.
They always get it right. Nice look.

Gorgeous ensembles and overall presentations from the Spanish royal family.
ReplyDeletePss Leonor is stunningly beautiful, she simply shines everywhere and on all occasions, both in military gears and civilian outfits.
Her hair is amazing, so luxurious, healthy, glossy and styled to perfection.
What counts most, she is a very remarkable young lady, love her achievements at such a young age.
She has such a well- rounded and confident personality.
Her parents are visibly and rightly proud of her!

ReplyDeleteExactly, excellent point and entirely agreed.
Some people think that drawing inspiration from fashion trends is a grovelling, automatic attitude.
That's totally wrong in most cases.
It takes an eclectic outlook on fashion as a whole and an open mind to adjust trends input to one's own personality and preferences.
An individual creative take on the suggested ideas showcased in the newest collections is needed anyway.
It implies elaboration and re-creation.
That's no passive approach to fashion latest trends, at least not on my part.
It entails an addiitional personal contribution to the stylist's final product, the client being somewhat like an "artifex additus artifici" imv.
