Today, August 4, the Duchess of Sussex, turns 44 and, as expected, is celebrating her birthday with her husband, Prince Harry, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in Montecito, California. Well I do for one. I think she is a beautiful and exciting lady. If you don’t care do you need to comment? LRB

Obviously you do care or you wouldn't have tried to spoil an innocent birthday mention. Please don't create drama where none exists.

I like her dress, too. It is blue on my screen. I enjoy seeing the more modern take of her style because so much of it is what I would wear myself.

There are more people who care than you think. Not necesseraly in Britain but in the rest of Europe (and probably beyond) the people like Harry, Meghan and the kids. But that is something you cannot stand.

I agree 15:14. She hasn’t done much to win the public’s devotion where I live. Hence, a pretty dress, but it’s hard to care.

@Anon 18:10 You know her character? Really? Wow! Didn't know you were so close to her.
(Also, since you don't know what the OP's statement means, you can't assign it to Meghan's character, so that's pretty useless too lol).

Her father told a few years ago that his daughter Meghan was born in 1977, so she is 48 by now !!

  7. I’m not a fan of Meghan or how she treats family members and employees BUT she looks amazing in that dark blue/purple dress. And she looks pretty in her first photo.

@Shinystuffbuff The first part of your comment only deserves credence if, 1) you are a family member of hers, or 2) you were one of her staff members. Otherwise it is shamefully and totally useless.

In photo 1 she looks like a pretty 23 year old. Old photo perhaps. I hope they find their way. I particularly hope that Harry and his family of origin work out how to know each other again and meet up regularly, preferably without the public or media being party to it.

    Love, love the purple:)
All the best to the special day!
Again, as somebody said, when a woman who stands strong, is admired, or speaks freely becomes the target of public shaming, it often says more about fear of her strength than about her flaws. These moments call not for silence, but for solidarity. As women, we gain nothing by tearing each other down – but we gain dignity, courage, and freedom when we lift each other up.

@Anon 07:30 Words only ring hollow when they lack substance. My arguments, however, are grounded in lived experience, structural insight, and a deliberate political consciousness. To dismiss them as 'empty' is not a critique — it is an evasion, revealing more about the speaker's unwillingness to engage than about the content itself.
