On August 27, 2025, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain visited the areas most affected by the recent severe wildfires in Castilla y León. Their Majesties traveled to Sanabria Lake Natural Park and the Segundera and Porto mountain ranges in Zamora, as well as Las Médulas Park in León. The purpose of the visit was to meet with those affected by the fires and with local authorities to learn about their needs, and to show institutional support for the emergency services and forestry teams.
Wow, in the first photo the King’s expression is fierce! Both he and Q.L. are dressed well for this visit and it looks as though their presence was appreciated. Fires are ravaging many countries this summer and the devastation is heartbreaking. (V.M.)
ReplyDeleteWell said, agree.
DeleteHe’s sure not waiting on Letizia or anyone is he?
DeleteThe King and Queen are exactly where they need to be. They are both dressed neat and appropriately for this solemn visit.
