On August 27, 2025, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended the presentation ceremony of the 2025 Stockholm Water Prize at Stockholm City Hall, as part of World Water Week. King Carl Gustaf presented the Prize to hydrologist Professor Günter Blöschl of the Vienna University of Technology, who was honored for his pioneering work in flood risk reduction and water resources management.

    Queen Silvia looks so lovely and elegant in this blue gown! It's a beautiful color for her and I love the fact she chose to wear it for the Water Prize as it's a great motif for such an award.

    What a beautiful colour for Q. Silvia. I think the dress and the jewellery are well suited for this occasion - dressy but not overly formal. I really like her choice of flat shoes too. No doubt she’s still favouring her foot but I think they look good regardless. (V.M.)

      Agree with all you say 00:13. Once one is through the pain of bunion surgery, one is very hesitant to go back to unhealthy footwear! I love the look of flats with long dresses! She looks great!

    Bon choix pour la reine, une robe fluide et satinée, légèrement irisée, comme des reflets sur l'eau. Et un collier tout à fait dans le thème aussi car les perles sont très petites et nombreuses comme une infinité de gouttelettes ! Paloma.
