On August 25, 2025, King Frederik and Queen Mary visited Frederikshavn Municipality aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. That evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a traditional reception for ninety invited guests at the Old Pier in Skagen Harbor. For the occasion, Queen Mary wore a new floral-print silk tie maxi dress by Vilshenko.
Vilshenko Caroline Floral Print Silk Tie Maxi Dress
Pretty dress. Christine
ReplyDeleteYES !!
DeleteThis is a very pretty dress, I love the pattern and colors. The navy blue shawl is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteMary looks lovely. Mary
ReplyDeleteCan’t really see nor comment on Mary’s fashion here but always lovely to see their faces!
ReplyDeleteWhat an ugly dress!
ReplyDeleteNo! Why be mean? Be more creative, kinder or quieter. Seriously…
DeleteThis a lot about - the commenter.
DeleteI don't really like this colour combination, nor the allover pattern. And I also have a particular dislike for high necks like this. Why cut the neck in the middle without any conceivable attractiveness, I never understood it. Vilshenko was excellent on Mary when she wore this:
Deletehttps://www.newmyroyals.com/2020/09/crown-princess-mary-presented-2020.html . But this one is a big No from me. Too long, too (neck-)high, too much, too nanny-like.
I agree with anon 09:26. I dislike the pattern, the colour combination and the high neck. I never like this kind of neck. A soft polo neck is fine but not this. I am fine with the length on Queen Mary as it is shorter than on the model.
DeleteThis says a lot about you, 07:18. If one day you plan to make a positive comment, please give us a warning in advance, so that we don't miss it.
DeleteI wish we had a full view of this dress - it's difficult to judge when it is mostly covered by an awkwardly-placed wrap, in a colour which seems somewhat too dark. Hopefully there will be another opportunity to see it.
ReplyDeleteAgree. The dress is very pretty and I am sure the shawl is exquisite, but somehow together it does not work.
DeleteThis is a very beautiful dress. There are flowers, but because the colors are amazing, it doesn't look dull. I could wear it myself as a midi dress or shorter. The dark blue shawl has an amazing color too.
ReplyDeleteNow there are more photos. It's a midi dress on her, looks good.
DeleteThese last couple of days she has been dressed as a 70 year old grandmother.
ReplyDeleteAll of Q.Mary's fashion pieces look appropriate for this voyage and related events.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is no exception.
Simple, unfussy and still smart.
I like this " new course" in Mary's clothing style.
She's just experimenting new fashion options and dimensions, including the
"maritime"- themed ensembles.
Well done to her.
Q M eyebrows as always to dark!
ReplyDeleteAnd the dress, no!
Yes, HM Q Mary’s eyebrows have always been this dark. But that’s their natural color - look at pics of her from her 2004 wedding, for example. What would you like her to do - bleach them??? Some people just naturally have very dark eyebrows.
DeleteJolie robe rehaussée par la touche de couleurs des fleurs ; à mon avis, quelques centimètres en moins conviendraient mieux pour équilibrer le look de Mary !
ReplyDeleteOn photo N° 4 although it is a bit dark and difficult to see, one can look at a maxi dress which is no maxi dress anymore but a midi dress. Definitely shorter than on the model and a good length for Queen Mary. I like this dress, the blue color is matching QM's hair and there is a good contrast with the red flowers. The neckline is not too high but covers the neck. In the back one can see a bow that closes the dress. I wonder if she let the back of the dress open or had it closed by a seamstress.
ReplyDeleteGlad additional photos were added so the length is seen. At first it was a no, but on relooking I do like the dress. Colours are nice, non granny. I find her makeup especially the brows to dark and heavy. She looks lovely and the kings suit fits him well.
