Delphine does it each time: "Look at me, I am a nonconformist, I can do this". She can, but it does not make her a pleasant sight.

And it doesn't make her more popular, on the contrary.

She’s an artist. Her dress suits her personality. It’s not traditional clothing but I don’t think the Royal family minds.

    4. Yes I agree with 19:46 : "indecent attention seaker". I read about comments she made, complaining about this and that... doesn't make her popular indeed.

What a bunch of rude comments. Firstly, anon 19:47, you need to look up the definition of "indecent". Indecent suggests something lewd, filthy, obscene. I realize that you want to say she is indecent because she has not conformed to so-called "acceptable standards", but she is wearing a dress that has the same v-neck as Eléonore's dress. The only argument that can be made is that the slit in the skirt is too deep. I might give you that but she is not the only royal who has worn a deep slit in a skirt. She is in good company, namely Catherine, Letizia, Charlene, Beatrice, Eugenie, Maxima, and even Victoria.

Kindly provide a link to Lorenz laughing at Delphine. I find it hard to believe that a born royal would behave that way in public, but I will reserve judgement until I have seen it for myself. When I search, the only reference to Lorenz laughing at Delphine is your statement that was made on this blog:
"Yes, according to one account, Prince Lorenz was seen laughing in the direction of Delphine at the National Day 2025 Celebrations.
It is important to note that this is based on an anonymous comment on a fashion blog and should not be considered definitive evidence of Prince Lorenz's feelings or intentions." Note it says "...an anonymous comment on a fashion blog and should not be considered definitive evidence of Prince Lorenz's feelings or intentions." It goes on to put links to this page. Shame on you! Show proof or rescind your comment.

Lastly, try to have some compassion. Take into account the life she has lived. She was not only abandoned by her father, a man who used the legal immunity afforded to him because he was the monarch and to refuse a DNA test, and she was also abandoned by the man she thought was her father throughout her childhood. She was an innocent child that had the adults in her life behave very badly, and she suffered for it. It manifested in an eating disorder due to the stress of keeping her real identity a secret, even to the therapist treating her for anorexia. She should not continue to suffer because a lot of nobodies on a fashion blog choose to judge someone they don't know. You can't know how you would have reacted if you had been in her place because you will never experience anything like she did. She was a trained artist long before her story was made public by a journalist (essentially outed), and became an official member of the royal family after a very public court battle. She has simply continued to be herself--a woman who expresses herself through her art and style of dress. There are pictures that show she has always had an eclectic style. Is she to be stripped of all individuality in order to be accepted by her family? Of course she doesn't dress the way the others do, but she wasn't brought up a royal. She has lived a substantial part of her life the way she is. No one here would want to be forced into pretending to be someone they were not. She discusses what happened throughout her life, and the toll it took on her and her children, in an interview with Vanity Fair. Try to break away from your callousness and learn more about her. She does discusses her fashion style in the article , and the reason for hearts, among a great many other things. My last thought is a reminder that if she was as offensive as these comments suggest, she would not be included in these very public events. If her family accepts her for who she is, no one has any right to judge her.

She said that the royal family are friendly and are still inviting her, but that she feels that the relationship between her and them will not go any further.

King Philippe, Princess Astrid and Prince Laurent suffered also when they were children because of the behaviour of their (father) parents. We all know by now what childhood Princess Delphine had. The childhood of the Belgian princes was not very much better, emotionally speaking. Maybe they were better off because there was enough money to bring them up. But money alone does not make any child happy. King Philippe's life changed when he encountered Queen Mathilde. From an unhappy crown prince he changed into a happy husband, father and king. His children are lucky because their mother and father know the value of bringing up children with love and caring for them.
Princess Delphine has been immediately accepted by King Philippe before her father did. I always heard that Prince Laurent visited incognito his half-sister in London, longtime before the Belgians knew of King Albert having another child.
I think it is time that Princess Delphine realize that the King of the Belgians always has to take into account the wish of the Belgian ministers and government. If the government doesn't wish Princess Delphine having more responsibilities, it won't happen. Besides she was always saying that she only wished to be recognized as King Albert's daughter, which happend in the end. But if she would like to have more recognition and responsibilities she should start first not to make her family embarrased and show the Belgian government she can be an asset. Did she do an effort to learn the Dutch language for example, I don't think so. The only thing she did until now is to show up in weird clothes. In the beginning in Belgium people felt pity for her and thought the poor girl had to express herself because she was an artist. Maybe one should give her time to adapt at her new situation. In the meantime, I think she got plenty of time and instead of getting better it is getting worse year after year. The designer of the costume she is wearing is also known for his extravagant and weird creations. When you look at the back of the red dress it looks like a corset and the fabric of the skirt is red leather

I love the deep red colour of the queens dress. Delphine well she definitely has an eclectic sense of fashion. I do not see that dress being very becoming on her other than the colour. P.Elisabeth looks very nice in her uniform. I hope to see phots of Gabriel in his

Delphine is nothing short of an attention seeker. Today wasn’t about her,and yet she turns up looking like a reject from a 1980’s punk band! Honestly I find her so disrespectful. It’s the country’s national day,and she couldn’t curtail her attention seeking ways for one day.
It was good to seeing CP Elisabeth and Pss Astrid in their uniforms.
A proud day in Belgium and for the Belgium people.

As usual, Delphine is wearing something ugly and inappropriate. Also too informal with the sunglasses propped on her head.

Princess Claire was wearing a jacket that she lend from Queen Paola. I don't know if the skirt belongs to Queen Paola too, I don't think so. Princess Claire is wearing a hat in the same style Queen Paola wore with the jacket. Princess Claire is lending a lot of clothes which belong to Queen Paola lately.

  7. I expected nothing less from Princess Delphine. In fact, I really was looking forward to see her choice of outfit for this year. Just to make me laugh. She never disappoints with her quirkyness. The rest of the Belgian RF looking mighty fine, although I will criticise the placement of Queen Mathilde's headpiece a little. It sits rather awkwardly too far back on her head.

Nice to see the RF together again on National day. Like their outfits great style.
Just wonder what Delphine was thinking wearing this outfit. Maybe she wanted people to admire her legs? not sure. Also nice to see Claire there. Astrid in uniform not much can go wrong here.

I read that Delphine does not feel close to her family, I can see why, as she beats to her own drum. It is difficult to blend in when you did not grow up together, and her quirky fashion seems to indicate her personality is bery different. A shame she puts it in their face.

Claire re-wears a jacket from Paola and does it very often.
Paola wore it at the State-visit from the Norwegian King to Belgium.
Laurent said they did it to keep their costs low.

In the first picture of this item, King Philippe is still wearing his blue uniform of the air force, which he worn this morning to attend the Te Deum. This afternoon however (2nd picture) he wears the uniform of the Army : green jacket and grey trousers.

The ladies are lovely, except the 1/2 sibling in the outlandish outfit. She must enjoy negative comments, but then it brings attention to herself, which was the purpose of wearing the outfit, sad to say.
