On June 11, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended the annual ceremony hosted by the Friends of the Drottningholm Theatre. During the event, Queen Silvia presented this year’s scholarships to singers, musicians, and dancers who have performed at the theatre.
The Friends of the Drottningholm Theatre is a non-profit association established in 1935 and is one of Sweden’s oldest cultural support organizations. The King serves as the association’s patron, while the Queen holds the title of honorary chair. Each year, the association awards educational scholarships to promote artistic development.
