On June 4, 2025, a group of war-injured Ukrainian children were welcomed to the Royal Palace by Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria. The children, aged between 9 and 17, were all injured during the war. Accompanied by their relatives, they are spending a few weeks in Sweden for rest and recovery. The initiative is supported by the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital at Karolinska University Hospital, Min Stora Dag, and Beredskapslyftet.
Later the same day, Queen Silvia received the 2025 Grand Prize from the Allmänna Barnhuset Foundation. The ceremony, held at the Royal Palace, was also attended by Princess Madeleine. The Grand Prize is awarded for groundbreaking contributions that have improved the social conditions of children and young people in Sweden.
The prize money is donated to a child- and youth-focused social initiative chosen by the recipient. Queen Silvia was honored with the award in recognition of her longstanding commitment to children’s rights and her role as the founder of Childhood Foundation.
Also on June 4, Crown Princess Victoria received Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), at the Royal Palace. Grandi visited Stockholm from June 2 to 4 as part of a farewell tour before concluding his ten-year term as High Commissioner at the end of 2025. UNHCR is one of the largest humanitarian organizations within the UN system, with a significant global presence.
Pleines de douceur les couleurs roses portées par Victoria même si je préfère celle de son ensemble !
ReplyDeleteVictoria wears a lovely dress!
ReplyDeleteLove the cause, find the dress overly romantic in pattern and style - fluff overload everywhere, often made by Malina. What a pity. Pink pant suit: OK, crimpled shirt collar: not at all OK.
ReplyDeleteWhere are the pictures of a crumpled shirt collar, please? I can only see one photo of her shirt collar inside her jacket.
Delete@Anon 15:53: Maybe "crumpled" is not the best word. What I mean is: An open shirt collar is always kind of distorted, or to put in another way: to find complete expression under a jacket lapel. There is the jacket lapel and then there is the quarter of a collar, the upper button mostly unbuttoned and the fabric pulled asymmetrically by the jacket. This kind of messy appearance could be avoided if women would stop wearing collared shirts under lapeled jackets (like men do). Hope I could explain what I mean: the unnecessarily "untidy" appearance of collared shirts under jackets. That we are used to this sight, does not make it any better.
DeleteVictorias Malina-dress is so feminine and pretty!
ReplyDeleteVictoria looks lovely in both outfits!

Terrible situation, Sweden has been a great support of Ukraine and Ukranian people.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out with them.

Agree with you, well said.
DeleteNo fashion, no words.
ReplyDeleteKudos to these two Royal ladies and all the medical staffs treating the war- - injured Ukranian children.
That's all I feel like commenting on.
Queen Silvia looks so neat and well groomed. Wears the green shade well with her complexion and hair color. I liked the floral on Pr. Victoria until I saw the bottom. The designer should stop trying so hard and keep the skirt simple, like the floral dress Princess Marie wore recently.
