Why? If you are going to make a comment like this, you should explain yourself so don't sound idiotic. Please enlighten us as to why Rania should not attend the same wedding as her son and his wife, and her daughter and her husband. I do not follow the logic.

@20:48 I was appalled when I saw Rania was attending. Now I see she's brought Hussein, Rajwa, Iman, & Jameel to that over-the-top affair. I wonder why the Jordanians were invited. Other than that, she looks very nice - young & fresh, trying to cover up among the extremely embarrassingly revealing low-low-lowcut gowns. ~~Ruthie

@Anon 5:25 Asking for clarification so a declarative statement will have some context is not "calling" someone idiotic. The statement itself SOUNDS idiotic when it makes no sense, hence the request for clarification. Should she have attended alone, without her children and their spouses? Should her children have attended without their mother? Is the problem that they are all attending the same event together or is the problem that any of them have attended? Stating that people should or should not be doing something, without explanation, sounds ridiculous when not elaborated on. Well known people, wealthy people, royals, sports figures, etc. have always run in the same circles. The British Royal Family is very well connected to "the rich and famous", who have attended royal weddings. People with privileged lives know others with privileged lives. I still want to know why Rania should not have been at that wedding. Is there something nefarious I am unaware of? or does it just seem distasteful that a royal family is friends with a billionaire? I am in no way celebrating this couple or defending their wedding. I don't care one way or another about them or their wedding. Just explain why the guest list is being scrutinized. The Jordanians, as conservative as they are, have a much better understanding of how their attendance could potentially affect them than strangers on a fashion blog.

There is such a Hoopla about this wedding but I won't get into the politics of it nor who's attending and who isn't. Sticking to fashion, I love Rania's outfit. I think the shoulder shawl makes a very positive difference and elevates the look. I also like the colour and her part pony-tail hair do as well.
Wish we had a better view of P. Rajwa's gown but perhaps more photos will be coming. With three days of celebrations, there will be lots of outfits on display, I'm sure.

I guess Jordan depends a great deal on American money. Since Trump became president they need to cosy up to the republicans. This is for their pr (I hope), or they are actually friends with Bezos (I hope not).

There is enough of that in the news. As previously mentioned, Bezos has known the Jordanians for about a decade. We aren't privy to the extent of their relationship. One might hope that all that wealth develops into some humanitarian efforts. With Bill Gates also in attendance, one can hope something more comes from this wedding.

Their connection can be both private and political. And Bezos is a republican so there's nothing wrong with me mentioning that.
We've previously seen Rania pay a visit to Melania on this blog: so politics are involved here anyway, even when it's indirectly.

The wedding cost $20million, not $20billion (miljard); much cheaper but still something I couldn't afford, wow. Just to try to clarify, or am I wrong here; it gets confusing. ~~Ruthie

I love QR dress, with the chiffon shoulder covering adding a little modesty in hiding the shoulders. She looks amazing.
I wish we could see more of PR Tom Ford dress, but what we can see,she too looks lovely. Particularly with her hair up in a high bun. Very glamorous.
I thought the photos of CPH and PR with their daughter Iman were so precious. She really is as cute as a button.

I don't get it with that shawl. If she wanted to be more decent in whatever way, there are several choices open, it does not have to be a gown with naked arms. My first and lasting association with that shawl (which it is not) : looks like a bondage. And it is not that far-fetched, just imagine how she is supposed to be helped into those Venice boats or out of them if she cannot lift her arm. So - sorry, beautiful gown and hair and everything, but that bondage is slightly ridiculous. - Her participation is none of my business, but I hope I am allowed an opinion: not really appropriate for a queen.

I do not think it is a bondage.
It is elasticasted by the look of It while topping off her whole splendid outfit with and additional amount of demure class.
I am told that Italy is currently going through a heat wave (and I know so well by experience that Venice can be sweltering hot) so a light , fluid and airy dress paired with a shawl is an ideal option.
Her pumps are absolutely divine, especially the powder pink shade, and made even more eye- catching by Queen Rania's svelte silhouette.

Bondage? Do you have the correct word?
If you are wondering how she got on the water taxis, there are an endless number of pictures and video. She took the hand of two gentlemen, just like all the other women did. Her attire did not appear to impede her at all.

@Anon 18:06: Yes, I used the word I wanted to (bondage): something that restricts you. For me, it is a very strange element on that otherwise nice dress, not in harmony with the original design at all, it is an add-on, not an integral part. And you are right, she could move her arms, because the fabric is probably elastic enough for that, OK. But alas, it does not make it more fitting.

    5. غير معرف28/6/25 18:21

The use of the word bondage here, to do with the Jordanian royals at the Bezos wedding is really giving me a chuckle. I really think you mean to use another word than bondage, although who knows at these squillion dollar events!

    6. غير معرف28/6/25 23:57

Dear 11:08/18:57 In English, "bondage" refers something else. Of all the royal families, they are one of the last that I would associate that word with. Rania is covering her arms because they are a modest and reserved people, quite the opposite of what that word implies.

On a fashion note, her stole, if I can call it that, is most likely a bespoke piece. I will disagree with you. I find the piece works harmoniously with the dress and I think it was tastefully created. I can't know, but I would be willing to bet it was not elastic, but a fine fabric. I actually love the way it looks, especially compared to a traditional shawl. I think shawls tend to detract from the overall look of a formal outfit, and look like they are only being used for warmth. Knowing you don't like this, I don't think you will like what she wore to the wedding. I think it is another stunner.

  13. غير معرف28/6/25 11:52

Rania hardly ever puts a foot wrong sartorially, so to me this gown is very out-of-character. The shawl is a very obvious add-on - the colour doesn't match, the fabric bears no relation to the gown, and overall it looks too small and too tight -- hardly the work of a couturier. Then there is the gown itself. Under the net, there is a striped fabric, with the stripes intentionally set crookedly, (exactly the same as shown on the model in the runway photo). At first I thought the back of the hem had got snagged or caught up, but then I checked the pics of Lisa Bonet wearing the same design. The gown is intentionally cut with the net overlay way longer in the front than the back, with half a frill poking out the back like a night-dress. And I havent seen anything this weird since Princess Mabel wore the ground-breaking Viktor and Rolf half-and- half gown to Crown Princess Victoria's wedding in 2010.

For fashion side I think that I prefere princess Rajwa. I would like to see the dress better but the color looks good and her hair looks beautiful. I also like CP Hussein's green suit. I do not care about queen Rania's little girl look, it's too Barbie, but of course my opinion only.

How do you reconcile that kind of extravagance with a country where poverty is growing and people are losing hope? This isn’t elegance — it’s obliviousness. A “queen” should walk with her people, not parade in front of billionaires while her country suffering.
