On June 18, 2025, Queen Máxima attended the official opening of the CO₂ capture plant of the waste and energy company Twence in Hengelo. Queen Máxima participated in the official program and was then given a guided tour of the CO₂ capture facility, where staff explained how CO₂ is extracted from the flue gas cleaning system, liquefied, and loaded into tankers.
Following the tour, Queen Máxima spoke with various shareholders, partners from educational institutions, government representatives, local residents, and employees about cross-border cooperation in the EU region, Twence’s environmental impact, as well as topics such as innovation and talent development.
Twence is a waste and energy company focused on the sustainable processing of waste and biomass, and the production of renewable energy and raw materials. It is the largest producer of sustainable energy in the province of Overijssel and plays a key role in the circular economy of the Twente region and beyond. Twence is owned by all fourteen municipalities in Twente and the municipality of Berkelland in the Achterhoek.
Alors là, je dis oui pour ce style de robe en soie plissée dont le haut est drapé ; on doit pouvoir admirer le mouvement souple quand elle marche mais bof, bof pour son bibi !
ReplyDeleteLovely joyful summer outfit. I’ve never loved the turban style hats and would prefer a proper hat with brim, but do love whenever she chooses to wear a hat anyway.
ReplyDeleteUps
ReplyDeleteNot all old dresses are rewearable
ReplyDeleteI agree. Irene
DeleteMaxima looks charming, nice color and optimal use of fabric, but this pleated design calls for a slightly longer length, especially if the wearer is tall.
ReplyDeleteYes that would bring it back into proportion. Love the flared skirt
Delete@Anon 20:55 You are exactly correct. Just an inch longer would have been perfect. Or...wear a lower heel.
DeleteI'm also glad that Maxima changed the design and colours a great deal from the model version. Her choice looks so much better.

マキシマ女王陛下はこのドレスを2014年10月の来日の際に着用されていました。
ReplyDelete当時皇太子妃だった雅子様は、偶然にも同じ色のスーツを着てお出迎えされました。
Visiting an industrial site but wears clothes best suited for a cocktail party. Random material swathed and pulled together with a gold belt, awful, at least the turban hides usually awful hair but definitely belongs to the 1950's. Seriously dated.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima is wearing a dress that was new in 2014 designed by Dutch designer Mattijs van Bergen who worked regularly for the Dutch royals a.o. Princess Margriet who has some beautiful evening gowns from that designer. I prefer a dress that is a tad too short than one that is too long like all the dresses, coats and coat dresses Duchess Sophie is wearing.
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima is wearing her citrine earrings which match the dress beautifully. On these pictures we cannot see if she is wearing a bracelet with citrine stones and her engagement ring with a citrine in the middle surrounded by diamonds.
Máxima looks wonderful in this dress. Seriously wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLook good or copy the latest fashion (and throw away a 10 years old beautiful gown because it is not fashion-up-to-date)? Máxima's answer here is masterfully confident. -
ReplyDeleteAgain so not dressed for the occasion.
