On June 2, 2025, Queen Margrethe of Denmark visited Sofieskolen in Bagsværd for the opening of a student exhibition themed "A Royal Universe" (et kongeligt univers). Upon her arrival, Queen Margrethe was welcomed by the school’s principal, Bente Laustsen. During the visit, the Queen toured the exhibition, where students showcased their creative works inspired by her artistic legacy, the royal family, and the royal palaces.
Sofieskolen was founded in 1964 by Else Hansen as the first special needs school for children with autism in the Nordic region. Today, the school serves approximately 60 children and young people. The Queen has been the school’s patron since 1968.
Wonderful cause and visit, lovely outfit for Queen Margrethe, and how adorable is the girl in her ABBA t-shirt?! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAlways a pleasure to see Q.Margrethe up and about. Her presence is always motivational and enthusiastic to her audiences. I also see that she has lost none of her style now in her retired years. Love how the fabric of her skirt is carried to her hat. Lovely.

This is a lady that seems so relaxed amongst people. I am not particularly fond of the skirt, but just look on how the fabric lines up on the side seam, perfect. A very elegant lady with so much worldly knowledge.
ReplyDeleteShe looks radiant and smartly dressed.
ReplyDeleteThe Q looks great. Always nice to see her. Nice outfit.

Margrethe has style: I would say it is preppy with sophistication I love the ruffle on the blouse. The hat suits the skirt. Her nails look good, the rings also suit the outfit. (Tara)
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see Queen Margrethe and what a remarkable visit!
ReplyDeleteShe looks flawless and so engaging.
J'ai grand plaisir de la voir vêtue avec élégance en partant du chapeau jusqu'au reste de sa tenue ; choix judicieux que ses boucles d'oreilles dans le même style que sa broche !
ReplyDeleteGreat lady with exquisite sense for style!
ReplyDeleteVery elegant and becoming!
ReplyDeleteHow marvelous to see HM! She looks great and I love her hat. What a perfect event for her--seeing the creativity of the children reflecting her own creativity as well as her family's influence. She looks delighted and I love that she's the patron of such an important and worthy program. The last photo is marvelous--her expression as she's watching the little boy is so loving and happy.
