Maxima and Mathlide have long legs, so dresses above their knees and in high heels never works so well.

Queen Mathilde wore dresses above her knees when it was fashion. She was also younger in that period. When Queen Mathilde wears an old dress it ends just under her knees or is made longer again (if possible). Queen Mathilde's shoes had less high heels when she wore dresses above her knees.

With already beautiful body proportions with long legs, the heels being so high actually go against the wearer. This length dress is great for Maxima but lower shoes would work better. Actually I do not understand why these 10.5cm heels have become popular as they overelongate the leg, disappearing ankle, shapeliness, and foot. They are also up around USD800+!, for shoes it seems completely mad pricing.

That's no mad pricing considering that you don't even know the brand, which must clearly be an extra luxury one.
Maybe you are not familiar with high- end fashion houses but I can assure you that this is a regulsr price for luxury shoe brands.
And why the repeated comparisons between royal ladies not to mention your repeated stressing their height( amongst other refrains)?
      Everyone is unique

I see what you mean about the dress length and high heels. Nice colour on her. Good for her she can still wear her clothes from 15 years ago. She looks lovely regardless.

11:51 I also agree with all of your points about the high heels, could not have said it any better. They do nothing for the wearer, they are neither elegant nor nice looking, just painful and even embarrassing , especially with pants or shorter dresses.

No, get rid of it, too short and too tight, I would say reuse it for nice toiletry bags or sell it for charity in her sister-in-law's shop MyLimaLima.

      Excuse me??
I still can't make it out why you always think that royal people - notably ladies- should run both their public and private lives according to your guidelines
If Maxima should wear something you don' t like- be It rewears or new purchases- just say the magical words: " I don't like it"!
      As simple as that.
Do you realize that she is the Queen of one of the richest royal houses in Europe and is certainly granted a high budget?
Why are you always acting as an accountant in your comments?
She is the Queen of the Netherlands, she can afford pricey clothing pieces and accessoires and that's all.
I am sure that she Is also a philantropist beyond closed doors but she owes the public no explanations for the way she benefits less better off people as a private citizen.

Anon 8:16, I find your obviously tongue-in-cheek comment very funny and the overly serious responses also very funny. I quite like what she’s wearing and love that she’s now doing a lot of rewears, but find it too short for heels of this height. Someone above questioned why these 10.5 cm shoes (I think they might be Gianvito Rossi, which are certainly very high and in the wardrobes of Maxima, Mary, Catherine, etc) are seemingly so popular and I also wonder this!

8:16 ha ha! Love Max, and also your comment which I don’t find disrespectful but clearly a joke.

I’d definitely buy some ex-Maxima-wardrobe re-creations! Brilliant idea actually. Ps I think the dress is fine, well maybe a bit short ya.

My reply was even more ironical!
It has been asked why Gianvito Rossi's creations are so popular with royal ladies.
The answer Is that they are 100% made in Italy, top quality and handcrafted.
If you Google info about G.Rossi , you' ll find details about his family activity, shoe ateliers and extra luxury collections.
His show ateliers look like museums .
His creations are works of art.
10.5 cm is a reasonable height for pumps and not so demanding for women used to high heels.
I personally don't find this height so extra- ordinary.

A dress from 2025? She must be kidding.

Combination of kneelength dress and ( very) high heels is not good: or the dress longer or the heels lower.
The dress itself is a bit ordinary, and the red not good .

  7. Les couleurs saumonée et blanche s'associent à merveille ; j'aime bien quand Maxima reporte ses boucles d'oreilles composées de petits rubis montés sur or !

Beautiful, casual-chic outfit on Ms. Gehrels. The top is a really luscious color and fabric ♥️.

To the group accountant (or whatever P. the original named you), I really like when you add in the price of garments here, particularly for those that several in the comments aren’t finding beautiful (eg the brown Jordan dress the other day) . Don’t stop! … it’s so interesting to reflect on value and to wonder why some designers become famous and others don’t, also to think about the cost of trends versus the cost of tailoring mastery, etc! Thank you!
