This dress is feminine and becoming.
Similarly, the material chosen, silk, makes all the difference.

I really like silk. It connotes femininity and refinement.

Marie looks great. I read up on the designer and her love of silk, very interesting. For this particular dress, I wonder if it wouldn’t look more balanced with a rounded neckline. I find with the under breast ruching forming an upward pointing v and the deep v neckline forming a downward pointing v that chest area is a little overemphasised. Can’t find the exact right word for that, but as a wannabe seamstress, it seems the balance could be better with a slightly higher and rounded neckline.

The style of this dress is the 1940-1945 dress style for ladies. The sleeves have the same finish as the neckline going further downward in the skirt of the dress.

I prefer this Alexander McQueen Blazer than those with the pointed shoulder pads.
