Such a beautiful colour on the princess. I want to like the dress just not a fan of the drape sleeve or the extreme form fitting fabric, even though she has the thinness to wear such a garment. Some of the photos, perhaps the lighting is not the most flattering of the undergarments or lack thereof. Perhaps if it was a pattern fabric it would be more forgiving. Her hair today I prefer a bit softer around her face, though still not my favourite look. She has such a pretty and natural face.

am loving all this new colour choices, this sky blue is first in her wardrope, its nice that she dares to try something different.

Anon 00:53 I feel the same way with the stunningly matched blue for Charlene, but finding the very tight (thus synthetic? Lycra/polyester based?) material not looking as well as a stiffer material would look for this design. Cannot help but think she forms herself more and more into the look of Princess Grace these days. I have a different view about your “natural face” thought, having observed the very obvious cosmetic and surgical changes she’s made since we first saw her in the press, but I do agree that her natural sweet demeanour seems to shine through here.

Natural ?? Look at photo’s of Charlene in 2006: that was her natural face !!

Graziosa forse, “naturale” lo era agli inizi della relazione con Alberto.

It's a pity that a some female royals go for plastic surgery. For Charlene it was never necessary. She was a natural beauty and would have grown older as a natural beauty.

@annoymous 05:33 its nearly 20 years since 2006. do you look the same as then? i highly doubt it. cosmetic or no cosmetic work your face will change.

Caroline has had no cosmetic work, does she look the same as she did in 2006? No.

    8. That is what I admire Caroline for: No plastic surgery. She ages naturally (and beautifully).

0856..actually I do look the same with a few minor wrinkles and no cosmetic adjustments. Genetics

Caroline would look younger, as would Stephanie, if they hadn't smoked and aged their skin in the sun. I wouldn't call it natural because there is premature aging due to their activities. As for Charlene, she was not born a princess and it has to be a very difficult adjustment to that life. Just taking the comments on this blog as an example, it is enough to make the most confident woman question her appearance. I am not surprised when any of the royals resort to cosmetic procedures. If they can reduce the wrinkles and grey hair that are publicly focused on, it probably gives them some peace of mind.

    Ohlala !

Quelle joie de voir la princesse Charlène ainsi.

Féminine, arborer des couleurs vives …
Elle semble des plus à l’aise dans sa peau. Et cela me réjouit fortement.

Cette robe est féminine et seyante.
La princesse est très belle dans cette robe.
De plus, ses cheveux de couleur blonde lui siéent à merveille. De même que cette longueur et cette coiffure.

    Rien à redire.

    J’aime !

    -Astrid.

Charlene looks lovely. To be honest I liked the dress more when I saw the first photo and thought that the drapery thing was only on one shoulder. Seeing it on both shoulders slightly diminishes the look for me, but Charlene still looks like a tall, statuesque goddess and wears this gown with all the praise it deserves.

Charlene is wearing a beautiful dress; I love the color and style, but it’s obvious too clingy and revealing.

Yes, that is what struck me too. Those who have mentioned it seem to think it is the fabric, not the cut, of the garment that is at fault. Regardless, it’s unfortunate. The gown would be superb, imo, if only it hung correctly on the body.

This is a very similar shade of blue to that worn by Charlene to her and Albert’s civil wedding, and it’s lovely on her.

Robin Wright’s dress is wonderful for her, although I feel where the two fabrics meet would be better higher up the décolletage for her shape. I guess that when she made Princess Bride 40 years ago, she didn’t imagine one day standing in Monaco with a real Prince and his bride, receiving a reward. Charlene’s dress holds promise with an interesting sleeve arrangement, although I think it would look better less form fitted; the colour is the best for her I’ve ever seen. She’s looking more and more Princess Grace (I guess by design).

    1. Definitely too tight. I think the problem is the fabric.

The blue gown, a miss, material is not right, and overly snug fitted is never a good look.

Paloma.

I don't think this gown is too tight at all. It fits as it is supposed to. When a woman has the figure to wear a dress like this, there is nothing wrong with it. Kate and Mary are two others who also wear form fitting gowns.

I don’t like this dress at all and find it really revealing.
