No to the Dress. Scrunch in the back a Big NO! Handkerchief hem is outdated. -JW

I don't like this dress at all.
It kind of reminds me of the tie dye outfits that were around in the 1970' s.

Je ne suis pas éprise de cette robe.
Je n’en compris ne le sens, ni la forme.

Néanmoins, j’apprécie le dynamisme de cette reine. Celle s’aperçoit même dans sa gestuelle.

    Wonderful Maxima, horrible dress!

  7. Je pourrais donner un avis favorable à cette robe à condition qu'il n'y ait pas les pans asymétriques qui déséquilibrent son look !

The dress is a rewear. She wore it a couple of years ago, maybe more, on the photo shoot they have each year with the family before leaving for the summer holidays.
The tie dye effects have been repeated in fashion since the 70s regularly. The uneven hemline is a pity, but it is probably not easy to do and sometimes it is better to leave it like it is.
I like her in these colors.

4 days ago Princess Kako wore a new tie dye dress in navy, light blue and white. It was not a repeated dress nor a dress from the 70s. The comments were good and some very good. Now that Queen Maxima is recycling an older dress in the same style, she receive not a single good comment.
C'est vraiment à la tête du client, les derniers temps.
Her dress is a good or as bad as Princess Kako's.

    1. The tie dye is not the problem, it's the uneven hem and the weird pattern.

I usually like Maxima's bold and original outfit choices, but I don't think this one does her justice. From the pictures, it looks ill-fitting, and perhaps not suited to the occasion. -Siri

Oh no what was the designer thinking. I like the colours but wow ruching in the back yikes. Got to say she will try to wear anything and smile through it.
