I like all three dresses on her. Well fitted, good colours. I noticed she appears to not have pierced ears, the earrings look like the screw on type. Nice delicate necklace

    1. The women of the Japanese Imperial Family are not allowed to have pierced ears.

Her sister in New York had a baby, time for her to jump ship and join her.

Beautiful clip-on pearls. I too have unpierced ears and love to see examples of beautiful clip-ons like these.

Is it allowed for the grandparents to see the baby in person or is the family just, truly, totally cut off from each other? If so, so sad and, I have to say, in 2025 twenty-first century, cruel and barbaric. I don't care what your cultural traditions are.

Is it really something desirable for a Japanese Princess to look same as everybody in the Western world? Or is it important to please fashion bloggers by means of following western standards? Are they better, those standards?

Totally agree. Shoes so boring and not shoes for young women

Thanks 19:37. For the others commenting “boring”, they’re not, they’re just different from your preferences. Let’s celebrate the differences that keep the world interesting!

I agree with you about the shoes. As I've said before, there are conservative, comfortable, *but cute* shoes out there. Why are they not accessing them?

Maybe she finds these cute. They are not cute to you maybe, but probably to her. That’s fine. Different places different tastes.

I doubt it. I'd be willing to bet good money she doesn't find these types of shoes cute. She wearing them because it's her duty to represent the royal family in a certain way and she's being respectful.

Oh wow, I love her in that Viaggio Blu floral dress! The red lacy one is beautiful as well. Sorry, I'm not a fashion expert. Beautiful Kako! ~~Ruthie

She is wearing some beautiful (and non-traditional, as we know Imperial Japanese style) outfits on this trip!
I like all 3 outfits presented here. Well done to her for doing what it took to accomplish this.

She seems so sweet. Love the simplicity of the final cream dress with flower belt and matching hair accessories. For the design of the Viaggio Blu, I find the black piping on the hem very subtle and stunning but find the neck tie in black and belt takes away from the beautiful design on the main fabric.

I think I never saw her in a flower dress. Beautiful. The other dresses are very beautiful too. Although this is a big improvement the flower dress on the model looks better because it is a bit shorter or the heels of the shoes are higher. I've always wondered how she manages to be dressed differently and more up to date than Princess Aiko.

All beautiful and modern stylish dresses worn by the lovely Pr. Kako. I am not suggesting she wear higher heels, but perhaps the shape of her shoes would make a difference to her outfits - such as a rounded toe box or the front of the shoe could be a little lower and give off a more fashionable vibe. There are many designs of court pumps to choose from.

Lovely wardrobe for the trip. The Viaggio Blu dress is a beauty with the satin sheen. Christine

Wow Princess Kako you look fantastic. I love all of your outfits particularly your dresses. Kako has style. So lovely to see the Japanese royal ladies starting to very slowly break from the conservative style. I have often wondered if behind closed doors Kako & the younger generation are wearing casual gear like jeans, jumpets, sneakers etc Mary
