Japanese Princess Kako is making an official visit to Brazil this year to mark the 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Brazil. Brazil is home to the largest population of people of Japanese descent in the world, numbering 2.7 million. Princess Kako paid tribute at a monument honoring the deceased pioneers of Japanese immigration in Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo.
On June 6, 2025, Princess Kako visited the Brazilian Society of Japanese Culture (Bunkyo) and the Historical Museum of Japanese Immigration in São Paulo. She gave a speech at a welcome ceremony held by a group of Japanese Brazilians.
Later that day, Princess Kako attended a welcome reception hosted by the Governor of the State of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, at the Bandeirantes Palace in São Paulo.
The first outfit : immaculately elegant, without any sign of latest fashion vibes. Just perfectly fitted and elegant. The short jacket, worn probably over a dress is especially attractive. - And oh my, is she beautiful ... (1st pic)
ReplyDeleteYes, she is!
DeleteAnd an asset for the imperial family!
I agree re first outfit, just darling. Her hat is incredibly pretty on her. Second outfit, what a beautiful silhouette and nod to the cherry blossom of spring.
DeleteThe blue dress with the embroidered flowers and her kimono are simply splendid. She is also becoming very confident, animated, and at ease in public engagements. I sense that she is being groomed for big things when her father eventually becomes the Emperor. Good for her!

The truth is that she also, like her sister Mako, will leave the Japanese Imperial Court as soon as she will be getting married. Her brother, Prince Hisahito, will be educated as the future Emperor as soon as he will become of age (20 in Japan; Imperial Household). She might get send abroad for some diplomatic exchange right now, but that will cease upon her marriage. Sad, but the harsh reality in the Japanese Imperial system.
DeleteWhat a treat to see Kako! I love everything I'm seeing. The navy and white outfit is traditional and stylish--the short white jacket is perfectly paired to navy dress. The hat has a touch of flair that helps make the hat look modern and fashionable. The pale blue dress--wow! the trailing flowers are exquisite. Yes, the bodice appears to be a bit big but the color and flowers are beautiful. Finally, her kimono is gorgeous--truly a wearable work of art. Kako herself looks beautiful and elegant in everything.

Lovely, lovely, very lovely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePeu importe de voir ses tenues, la princesse Kako sait bien représenter la cour impériale ; en regardant mieux, c'est quand même dans son kimono qu'elle est à son meilleur !
ReplyDeleteShe is always a ray of sunshine!
ReplyDeleteShe manages to be tiny, elegant and sweet and very impressive and strong at the same time!
ReplyDeleteShe’s pretty terrific - but is she tiny? Looks similar to the other ladies in the pics?
