King Frederik and Queen Mary are undertaking a three-day official visit to the Faroe Islands

From June 11 to 13, 2025, King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark are undertaking a three-day official visit to the Faroe Islands aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog. The King and Queen are accompanied by Princess Josephine. On the first day of the visit, King Frederik and Queen Mary attended a gala dinner at Hotel Føroyar, hosted by Prime Minister Aksel V. Johannesen.

    What a wonderful ‘win-win’ event.
    The people from the islands must be overjoyed to have their King and Queen amongst them.
    An excellent opportunity for Queen Mary to learn more and appreciate the culture of this tiny group of islands in the Kingdom of DenmarK.
    Since January 2024, she has been their Queen.

    Very nice outfits. I like the hair ties holding the queens hair back. Someone combed the kings hair, haven’t seen it look like that for a long time. A very handsome couple

      I think King Frederik's hair in photo #4 might be the result of a styling from either Queen Mary or her hairdresser. The photo appears to have been taken on board the royal yacht before they left for the dinner. My money is on Mary!

      I love seeing the King and Queen in their Faroe finery--the clothes are beautiful. Queen Mary looks so beautiful--all the colors are perfect for her. Her hair and makeup are perfect. King Frederik looks very handsome--I love the red vest he's wearing.
