The ladies all look good, especially like the design embellishments on the Queen's coat. She has been changing her style very slightly lately.

I never thought I'd say this, but Queen Camilla is quite easily the best dressed here and by far! Not frumpy in the least and proper undergarments making her look sleek and stylish. Good for her!

The Princess of Wales' accessories do not go well with the entire look, including that hat. But the dress fits well. I think this is one where she received past criticism for purchasing two extremely similar Alessandra Rich dresses.

Duchess of Edinburgh's too-long dress with those bell sleeves make her look like her often frumpy self. Lovely color, though.

Duchess of Gloucester looks elegant, as usual, but this is also a bit long and dowdy.

Princess Anne - nothing to see here really, fashion-wise, but my goodness that she can still fit into her clothes after so many years! She looks, as always, appropriate for the occasion.

  3. Quand je regarde les chapeaux de ces dames, c'est celui de la princesse Anne qui est vraiment élégant tant au niveau du style que du dégradé de couleurs ; je ne l'ai jamais vue aussi belle avec un chapeau !

Camilla and Catherine for the win (with special mention to P.Anne). Both Queen and CP have lovely dresses, and their hats are elegant and very much to their individual styles. I like that Catherine chose toffee brown for her bag and shoes - it avoids being too 'matchy-matchy' and the brown works fine with black and white. None of the 5 royal ladies' dresses are fussy, and are perfectly in sync with the sense of remembrance of this day.

Re Katherine's dress; it's nice but I've always felt it was "too light" for formal occasions. The fabric appears light and airy to me with not enough "heft" for the occasion. I like it - especially this version more so than the previous one with the asymmetrical hem - but, it just seems to me it would be more appropriate for a charity visit somewhere than for a formal church service, Garden Party, or Ascot with a fancy hat and shoes, etc. If she had worn a white colored light weight open coat/duster over it with the same accessories it would have been perfection imo.

Sophie's hat for the win. Not liking the dress but that hat is on point!

I thought Catherine looked stunning! Though I think there might have been a small mix up with the photos. Though both dresses very similar in design. This AR dress gives Catherine a beautiful shape. I appreciated the tan shoes and bag,to break up the white and black. Her hair and make up were exquisite!
Duchess Sophie hat looked more fitting to a day at Ascot rather than a service in Westminster Abbey. I know she has come to favour Beulah dresses(she seems in have at least four in different colors)I wish she’d have them fitted properly. I recall Queen Mary had the cuffs of her Beulah dress removed, giving it more of a structured look,Sophie might think of doing the same. The sleeves are far too long.
D.o.G repeating the gorgeous cream ensemble she wore in Denmark a few days past. I think she looks beautiful.
Queen Camilla stuck to her usual AV design, which suits her.The stitching around the edging gave it an edgy look.
Princess Anne,I’m thinking has had this outfit in her closet for decades. She is not one for spending on fashion, but when she does, she invests in timeless pieces, that she can wear time and time again.

    The Queen: a beautiful coat and hat;
    Princess of Wales: unbelievable elegant!
    Princess Ann: sophisticated as ever ;
Duchess of Edinburgh: beautifull colour of hat and dress, but alas, the dress is too long and the sleeves fall over her hands: such a pity,
Duchess of Gloucester: always modest and stylish

Camilla is just smashing. What a lovely less- is -more coat combineren with the wonderful hat. Love Kate's polka dot that she has wirn before. I would have chosen other colour for shoes and bag. A no for Sophie's dress. Too volumineus though the colour suits her

I like Sophie’s outfit very much; lovely color on her. I think both Kate’s and Camilla’s outfit would look better with black shoes and black purses.

  14. wonderful service and so important to remember as war is ravaging today as well.

    But (with a fashion perspective)

I loved the dress that Kate first wore at Garter Day a couple of years ago but black hat with black and white dress is great, but TAN bag and TAN shoes is a miss for me. I understand that the shoes might be a comfort thing and I can be fine with that, but just changing to a black bag would have made this a hit for me

The Princess Royal wins today for me, because really every detail is taken good care of and are in harmony, she looks fabulous. The pearl earrings, the lipstick, even the hair: the less we see it he better, and this job was done by a really nice hat. Camilla's coat is truly excellent in its simplicity - without any structuring effects, it is simply well cut and well fitted. Catherine: She might have felt, maybe, that hat, shoes and bag, all in black, would have been too much. Maybe she chose two tan accessoires instead of one because the two of them build a small complementing tan harmony in a sea of white and black, so it is not just an unexpected and unexplainable solo tan surprise?

  16. Catherine looks very elegant and stylish. I prefer black accessories, but regardless she looks beautiful. The pearl earrings look lovely, perfect choice. Camilla looks beautifully groomed. Sophie looks splendid in this shade of blue. The DoG looks very stylish and well groomed.

Paloma.

Another day of fabulous fashion to celebrate VE Day. I know this was a more reflective event but it still celebrated a momentous occasion. All of the BRF ladies look marvelous! Hard to believe that Queen Camilla was out-hatted today but I have to give that win to Sophie--what a spectacular hat! I went perfectly with her beautiful pale blue dress in which Sophie looks wonderful. The Princess Royal also wore a great hat--her whole outfit is so very elegant. The fabric of her coat is really beautiful and I love how she combined grays, almost silver, and shades of blue together. I also like seeing her in the deep red lipstick--very pretty touch. The Duchess of Gloucester is elegant in her cream ensemble--she wore it to the VE Day celebrations in Denmark earlier this week I believe. She is also wearing my favorite style of hat--a pillbox and it looks marvelous on her as it very much highlights her face. The Princess of Wales is gorgeous--I love polka dots and this dress is one of my favorites in her closet. The fit and style are perfect on her. She has chosen to wear another fascinator this week and it allows us to see her beautiful hairstyle--what an amazing updo her stylist has created. I'm not as sure about the choice of the tan accessories but the dress is so perfect on her that I'll let it go. Finally, Queen Camilla. What a surprise with her coat--incredibly fashion-forward for her. I love it!!! That trim on the coat, especially where the collar meets the vertical line of the closure seam is a simple but artistic design choice. And of course we get a great Camilla hat treat again--she has such style with her hats and this one is wonderful. Again, everyone pulled a best look and except for the hats I cannot pick a winner or really find a complaint.

Queen: I am amazed - this is the best look for her I’ve seen since her wedding day. This is a very good look for her silhouette.
Catherine: Nice re-wear . I have mixed feelings about the tan shoes and bag.
Duchess of Gloucester: Lovely and elegant in this ivory re-wear. Maybe a tad too long
Princess Royal: True to her own style and I so admire her figure. She wears the outfit so well.
Sophie: Lovely color, but the bell sleeves have gone out of style and again the dress is way too long. So disappointing.

To me, Sophie is the least chic. Although the colour of her outfit is fine, its cut does nothing for her, too tight around the breast. Camillla's coat and hat are very chic, elegant.

All the ladies looked very elegant . I loved the Queens outfit, she suits the Aline styles. Very elegant indeed, she suits white beautifully and the hat just set the outfit off perfectly. Her stylist has gone to the top of the list again.

Although I like Princess Catherine's outfit, she should wear now the dresses which do not make her even thinner than she is. I am sure she has outfits in her dressing room which can create that effect. I do not mind the cognac color of her shoes and handbag with this dress. It is often worn like this and creates a contrasting effect. Queen Camilla was looking the best in her blue coat and dress, hat and shoes which she wore during the military parade on May 5. She could try to adopt this idea for her other outfits too, wearing one color like green i.e. it suits her very well. A bit late for her because other queens like Q. Mathilde and Q. Maxima adopted the monochromatic look since 3 years at least. The other royal ladies participating at the ceremony in Westminster Abbey were not dressed to my taste : too long dresses and coats except for Princess Anne who found a lovely coat in the back of her wardrobe, but I think it is time now that she gives up her old outfits for recycling and buy some new coats and hats.
Now that I am thinking about, was Princess Catherine not asking not to print the pictures of the brands she is wearing any more ? I think maybe it is not possible on a fashion blog.
