On May 11, 2025, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain attended a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the former KZ Mauthausen concentration camp, held at the memorial site in Mauthausen, Austria. Upon their arrival, the King and Queen were welcomed by the Federal President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, and First Lady Doris Schmidauer.
Mauthausen was one of the first large concentration camp complexes established by Nazi Germany, and the last to be liberated by the Allies. Around 7,500 Spanish Republicans who had fled to France were deported to Mauthausen in Austria. By January 1945, the camp held approximately 85,000 inmates. At the event, Queen Letizia wore a new black suit by Mango.

Nice fitting suit. Has she changed the arch of her brow? I like that she wears a band to hold her hair back, but still allowing it to fall forward.
ReplyDeleteThe lighting or makeup could definitely be playing a role in how her brows appear. Sometimes a different makeup technique or even the way light hits can change the shape or definition of them. It’s subtle, but it could be enough to create the illusion of a different arch.
DeleteBien choisi ce costume noir pour assister à cette cérémonie commémorative ; judicieux son fin serre-tête !
ReplyDeleteVery good of them to actually going there. Such a big difference with commemorating on a distance.
ReplyDeleteNice suit and well fitting. For us to make a change in Society, we must always remember the path of fear and tears. Let us never forget and remind posterity, what can happen.
