On May 12, 2025, King Charles III, Colonel-in-Chief of the Household Cavalry, and Princess Anne, Colonel of the Blues and Royals, attended a ceremony at Windsor Castle in Berkshire to present the new standards and colours to members of the Life Guards and the Blues and Royals. The Standards symbolise the Cavalry Squadrons’ history, achievements and identity and are held in the highest reverence.
The Chaplain General of His Majesty’s Land Forces consecrated the Standards, which were then presented to King Charles before being handed to the Commanding Officers. Since 1660, the soldiers of the Household Cavalry have served as the Monarch’s trusted guardians and the public face of the British Army, both at home and abroad.
The Princess Royal looks really very good here, she wears the uniform, perfectly, the King looks equally great.
ReplyDeleteGreat look in uniform with all the hardware on the chest. So nice to see Anne there as well and she is smiling which in itself is a rarity. It is always nice to watch; the UK do Parade very well.
