You are anonymous too, Anon 23:59, or is that okay for you to remain so but no one else? I don’t like her heavy make up either but I still like Mary. Why do Mary’s fan base get so upset when someone doesn’t like something about their idol? It’s not hateful or malicious to say you think her make up is too heavy. It’s an opinion and it seems someone else agrees. And here’s my name so I don’t remain anonymous since for some reason you think that makes a difference…hmmm…today I’ll call myself Alice…next time I’ll pick a new name? 😁

What is so heavy about her makeup?

Her makeup is perfectly fine for a daytime event and not ageing in the least.
Heavy makeup is something totally different which would imply using some cosmetic products that are clearly missing in Mary's makeup execution.
A sharp eye would have already spotted the kind of products I'm talking about.
Sometimes better not embark on unknown topics like makeup if you lack any expertise whatsoever.
      First impressions may be misleading.
Mary's pantsuit is gorgeous as well.

Agree…you wind up just seeing her make up and not really her. Too much is garish and aging…less is more when it comes to make up…

Mary looks good in this slim and high waist suit also my favorite fit.
The top has had a special fabric treatment, very nice structure.
But when I see her neighbour I'm sold!
She get's fashion best, it's original and fun. The color is nice and her curly hair the icing on the cake.
I think Mary can improve on the hair with more variety in different hairstyles and please cut it a few inches like the girl next to her ( maybe ask her advice).

Better be careful saying anything negative about Mary’s hair, Anna. 😁 Her supporters will say you are jealous and hateful! (And I think her hair would look better with a few inches taken off. She had it cut just below her shoulders a few years ago and it was very flattering to her. Guess that makes me jealous, huh?) Louise

The woman in the blue suit has the same length hair as Mary. There is nothing wrong with the length of her hair. This needs to stop. The obsession with the length of other women's hair is getting ridiculous. Worry about your own hair and let other women wear their hair the way they want to.

I agree with Anna - but not the hair comment. Mary’s hair is clean and healthy and neat; then she gets to choose the rest. It’s HER hair, part of her body, we - strangers! - cannot ask her to change it. But I do love this cut of suit and think the light blue suit next to her is special! - Mary

      re: Q.Mary's hair
Nothing will change unless Mary herself should make a different choice for her own hair.
She looks so satisfied with her long hair styled like that!
Why should she opt for styles appropriate for older ladies?
Who is she expected to please but herself?
I suggest you resign yourself and this applies to all royal ladies' hairstyle preferences you keep on criticizing.

Mary and the two award recipients are very well dressed. They all look smart, stylish and very appropriate to their individual roles in this award celebration.
    Really lovely. Congratulations to all.

Mary has a very sweet face. I remember her exactly on her wedding day, she had such a calming, motherly influence on her nervous husband. Her hair somehow smothers her delicate features, not only the harsh dye, but the length. She needs a soft element.

Well, I’m no ‘expert’ or particular ‘fashionista’ but I know what I like and don’t like just like everybody else. Mary’s pantsuit is lovely…she rarely gets it wrong with her outfits and usually looks elegant and well put together. Her hair parted off to the side a bit is more flattering to her face rather than the center part. I do think her make up is too harsh or this particular outing but perhaps that’s just the lighting? And no, just because I don't like her make up this time does not mean I hate her or am jealous. Maybe those who call others “haters” (stupid term) for having their own opinion on something as superficial as make up are the “haters”? And I'm sure I’ll be accused of being a ‘hater’ or ‘jealous’!

I took a few minutes and read all the comments about Queen Mary's hair and make-up and the answers of people to the other commenters calling them haters or being jealous. This is really rediculous. If this was recorded and one could hear you talking to each other (not to forget you talk to people you don't even know), I think it would sound like we are in the middle of a rehearsal for a comic comedy on TV. There are so many other interesting things to do in live instead of spending time to say about a queen or a princess what you don't like about her clothes, make-up, hair, etc... knowing she won't change it for people who live in another country or maybe on the other side of th world.

It is interesting to see how a young student from another country is dressed. The lady in the light blue pant suit has a white line around the lapels, something we don't see any more in Europe lately. She also has a white line on each leg of her trousers. A fantasy which was fashion a couple of years ago and is sometimes still used. One can find these lines also on the loose pants who looks a bit like trainings pants. The whole outfit is not bad at all. It looks fresh and new. Color combination is beautiful.
