On May 13, 2025, Queen Mathilde of Belgium attended the academic session marking the tenth anniversary of the Queen Mathilde Mother and Child Centre (Koningin Mathilde Moeder- en Kind Centrum) at the Antwerp University Hospital in Edegem. The centre brings together teams specializing in various disciplines, such as gynecology, neonatology, and genetics.
Since 2015, thousands of children and their parents have visited the Queen Mathilde Mother and Child Centre at the UZA each year. Today, the centre celebrated its 10th anniversary together with Queen Mathilde. The Queen is the patron of the centre. During her visit, she met with several children and parents, and spoke with the nurses.
I like this dress, very simple, great colour. Love her hair today. I am missing a necklace so it is not so plain.
ReplyDeleteThis shade of green looks beautiful on queen Mathilde !!
ReplyDeleteApart from the side split, this is a perfect dress for Mathilde. The color and style works really well on her.
ReplyDeleteLowri.
I like the slit. We all know she has nice legs. There is no reason she shouldn't show a little of them. It is not vulgar in any way.
DeleteI agree with Lowri about the dress’s side slit; no one is saying it’s vulgar, but in the photo in which the Queen is seated, the glimpse of her exposed thigh is rather jarring. I do not suppose she expected the dress to fall that way, yikes.
DeleteWhat a lovely dress, model colour all very elegant. Sleeves give this dress a modern swing. I love Mathilde's hair. It looks as if she is wearing it a bit longer lately.
ReplyDeleteAgree. Lovely dress with the unusual sleeves. Looking good
DeleteOh, this color green is gorgeous, suits the Queen well. Lovely and elegant dress, simple lines. Her accessory color is good, and I love her large earrings, adding interest. This was a wonderful visit by the Queen.
ReplyDeleteLovely green on the Queen!
ReplyDeleteLe vert lumineux de cette robe sied à ravir à la reine ; j’aurais voulu mieux voir ses boucles d’oreilles cachées par ses cheveux qui ont bien poussé !
ReplyDeleteLovely, very nice dress and color. Also, nice outing for the Queen. She made the kids and their family a happy day.

Queen Mathilde is looking fresh in this hot weather we have now since 4 days. The green color suits her. The style of this dress makes me think of the robes worn by Greek and Roman mythological godesses. I think her clutch is new. In the last picture the governor of the Province of Antwerp sits on the right of Queen Mathilde. The University hospital of Antwerp must feel lucky to be supported by the queen who has a special place in her hart for children.
ReplyDeleteYesterday Queen Mathilde was also present at the first of the semi finals of the Queen Elisabeth's competition for piano. She wore another. green silk dress by Dries Van Noten.
The colour and theory of the dress are good. Not too obvious where Q. Mathilde's waist is. The earrings are great and her longer hair is flattering.
ReplyDeleteThe tailoring of the sleeves is off. The designer must have skipped class on the day they talked about reducing the inside bulk on draped sleeves. Also it could well be the lighting but Q. Mathilde's upper arms look very pale in comparison to her forearms and legs. A bit too noticeable
